Hi - 2 questions around the citizenship application. 1. My wife and I would be applying for our citizenship towards the end of this year. Do we need to make separate citizenship applications from our respective IMMI accounts ? Or do I make one application using my IMMI account and add her name on the same application ? 2. We got married last year (in Australia) before applying for our PR and all her Australian documents (license, medicare, etc.) have her maiden name. She would now like to change her last name to mine. While submitting the citizenship application, should I just enter her details with the new last name and attach our marriage certificate ? We would like our citizenship certificate and Australian passports to display her new last name. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, Does anyone know the implications of moving interstate on citizenship application processing times? We’re having to move interstate for work. Applied for citizenship by conferral in mid-2019. Haven’t heard anything yet other than the acknowledgement. I know we have to inform the department of changes in address etc. Wondering if that’ll mean the processing work gets transferred to the new state and if that’ll push us down to the bottom of whichever pile we’re going to be placed in (I still have this image of files stacked on a case officer’s desk ). Appreciate any advice/info. Thanks!

Hi, My husband and I arrived in Australia on Visitor Visa subclass 4/4/18. We had to go back to the UK and arrived back in Australia with PR 22/11/20. Does the time spent in Australia on the 600 visa count as residency for the citizenship application? I am aware of taking into account time spent out of Australia. I’ve seen this asked before and it seems that it would be counted but I would really appreciate it if anyone who has gone through the process taking into account visitor visa time or has knowledge of the system to confirm this for me. Hi Not sure if can help, just realised I don't have any documents that has proof of address for my 16 year old, any ideas how I can get round it? I will try calling them when they open but thought I'd try here in the meantime Thanks Lisa

Hi I have started my application for citizenship. Now like if you do it by your self you stated to have some doubt and question? you have to provide the date of your first arrival . As i was going through my previous form 80 it was mention 27th December but looking carefully i found out that the date was actually 28th December the year was right. The seal from the immigration was hidden one of the blank page far from the top pages. The seal was faded but still visible . All this time i was sure it was 27th as i stared by flight that day. should i change it to 28th December or will i follow my previous form 80 from previous visa application?/ plz help any one!!!!

Thought to start a new thread for Citizenship application preparation questions Does anyone know how long it usually takes to get your movement records? I'm getting my citizenship application prepared & I'd applied to get them through an agent in June 2020, haven't heard anything yet
