There is now debate about whether this youtube video was faked ??? Nowadays it seems everyone has a video cam or video phone films everything & hopes their video will go viral on Youtube. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/8909281/Flour-avalanche-video-goes-viral-but-was-it-a-set-up.html When we were young there was no Youtube to post our Antics on. Do you have any stories of your own or childrens antics you'd like to share ?

So very excited. Well its only taken nigh on thirty years but I've finally taken up kendo, still as they say all good things to those who wait. Lets hope it lives up to the hype. Anyone else got things they're always planning doing and never get round to. Another one of mines hang-gliding and that motorcycle obstacles type thing off of kick-start.

I had a wonderful nights sleep last night :arghh: so have been sat downstairs for about two hours in a sort of trance like state  Anyway, after about one hour I realised that the noise emanating from the big black box in the corner of the room were in fact programmes aimed at 2-4 year olds :wideeyed: (Not that I am capable of participating in anything more grown up at the moment - Im only on my second boost of caffeine) Whilst waiting for the cogs to slowly start turning, I thought I may try to broaden my education by watching the aforementioned programmes . . . and ended up thinking how woefully we educate our children these days (especially with enhancing Speech Production):- So, this has got me thinking about the wonderful programmes from my childhood and how much more educational they were:- And my all time favourite, this was may I add, repeated in the 70's/80's, Im not that old :laugh: So, theres the proof of my argument, the TV of my childhood has been far more educational than todays programmes, I learnt all about Biology and Gender differences (See Rainbow) and I know which Mushrooms to avoid (look what it did to those in Magic Roundabout) and I also know that if ever I am in danger or feeling low that I will never be on my own . . . . . . as Champion will have my back :notworthy::biglaugh: What are your favourite TV shows from your childhood?

You take your 4 year old to an indoor play centre, and as an ADULT you're in fear of being crushed by a toddler. Then there's the bogan parents to contend with. Luckily both father and son made it home unharmed

Not sure if it interests anyone but there is a new site which reports on national early development Mapping Results @ Australia Early Development Index (Australia) you can check out whether an area has a number of kids with developmental difficulties - not sure whether that would influence you whether to choose to live in that area or not but it may reflect the general social structure of the neighbourhood. Some states dont do early childhood education as well as others so ACT is well surveyed but numbers in other states are lower.
