Hi All I am looking to get my skills assessed but on the TRA website it says i have to complete the TradeSET questions before i can proceed with the initial application.......however it does not list my job? It says to chose a job which is close to my current job role, but none of them are. I want an assessment as a Childcare Coordinator/Centre Manager but all the jobs listed are for cooks, builders etc theres nothing close to what i need. Any advice please? Many Thanks

So I'm in Australia at the minute I'm currently here on a Working Holiday Visa but I have just applied for a De Facto Visa with my boyfriend and it should be processed in the next 7-10 months. But I'm currently working at a childcare centre as a casual and want to study and can't until I'm on my new visa. But the immigration told me I can study as long as the institute is not in Australia so I was going to do an English online course and just complete it here? but firstly I'm not sure what course is best to do thats equal to a certificate 3 here and secondly which site is best to do it on? and thirdly if they would allow me to do it that way? So if anyone had any ideas or help it would be great.

I know most people are probably thinking who the hell does she think she is?! BUT I wanted to hopefully find out whether there are any childcare workers on here who have emigrated to australia recently? how difficult was the process of applying for a visa AND if so, what visas did you apply for? sorry for asking a million questions  I'm thinking of applying for an employer sponsored visa (457 I think) once I've finished my degree and got a couple years more experience! Any advice will be greatly appreciated thankyou:cute: -
Social Work in Australia - particularly Western Australia and Victoria
Guest posted a topic in Careers and Vacancies
Hi I recently saw an advert for UK recruitment for social work in Western Australia. I'm coming to the end of completing a two years masters in Social Work and was thinking of applying. I'm aware I could have to pay $850 for a skills assessment with the Australian Association of Social Work which is a lot of money if it doesn't work out. I was wondering if anyone knows or is currently working in Australia or has done as a social worker and how they found the process and transition. Also I don't think I'll stay there and only go on a working holiday visa so wondering if its worth all the hassle? I would like to work within child welfare/protection when I go out there if not social work something related and at the moment its all a big uncertainty. If anyone has any comments I'd love to hear them Thanks!
