    Third party sponsorship

Hi I have just finished a two year contract as a Business Analyst with my current employer who sponsored me on a 457 skilled visa. With the recent changes to legislation and as a business analyst in a competitive market, I'm finding it difficult to find companies willing to apply for a new visa. Does anyone have any experience / had dealings with third party firms offering to take on the sponsorship? I mentioned this option to a recruiter when they pulled my interview when they found out I required sponsorship - due to 'past experiences' they were not willing to consider this option. Any advice would be much appreciated. Rich

    ICT Business Analyst

Hi I have submitted EOI in mid of Aug 2014 with 60 points for ICT Business Analyst Can I expect an invitation soon? So far this year, the cut off for BA seems to be 60. Also, what is the meaning of meaning of 'Visa date of effect'; On Sep 8 round, it's given as April 2014 and points given as 60. Does it mean that all people with 60 points who applied befoer Apr 2014 have got invitation? Also, can I track my number in the queue Thanks in advance
  6. Hi all, I'm applying for skill migration under Occupation Business Analyst (code 261111), and am considering which one of the above options most suit me. I'm aware of the restrictions which 190 (State Nominated) offers. However, would be pleased if someone who has obtained a visa for the above job category could share your views on the time it takes to process the VISA etc. Is it worth waiting for some extra time to get hold of a VISA from 190 (Independent) as opposed to 189? Do you find BA jobs in demand in all of the Aussie states? Thanks
  7. Hey Guys, I am confused whether professional years calculation is being done by DIAC itself or its totally based on ACS (Australian Computer Society) letter? Actually, I received positive skill assessment from ACS for ICT Business Analyst on June 2011. At that time, my total experience (according to ACS letter) was (5 years + 10 months) which was quite adequate to get positive result as it was more than 5 years. That time, I couldn't apply for immigration due to some circumstances. Currently, my experience is 7.6 years and I want to apply for EOI by getting 8 years experience points. Should I wait to complete 8 years OR can I still apply for ACS re-validation application to get new letter with extended expiry date (as its still more than 5 years experience). If yes then does it mean DIAC will be calculating professional years based on my experience certificates itself and ACS letter will only be referred for +ve skill assessment? Please help and if someone can share personal experience in such scenario. Thanks!

    Skills Assessment

Hi everyone. Just wondered if anyone knows what is needed for the ICT business analyst skills assessment? Is this something that can be written by my husbands boss or do they contact all employers individually to cover the period? Thanks
  9. Hi, Im moving to Perth in Sept 2012 and looking for work as a Business Analyst. Does anyone have any advice they can provide on this occupation in Perth? I currently work for Sky in the UK so a similar industry would be good in Perth. I heard Foxtel might be a possibility...any thoughts? My role is easily transferrable so any other industry would also suit. Thanks
  10. Hi! I'm new to this forum, I'm a kiwi who has lived in London for the past 11 years, and recently spent 6 months in Sydney where I took a change of career and started working for a Recruitment Consultancy, now I'm back in London, and able to help other people based in the UK who want to move to Oz find a job to get themselves started! We have a vacancy for a senior (10+ years experience) Retail professional in Brisbane. The role is Business Analyst, Sales Channel, and is within a huge brand in the retail industry. They are looking for a senior candidate with experience implementing Retail store information systems, POS, and well as SAP CRM (including loyalty management, campaign management and web store solutions) Strong Retail Business Process knowledge in areas including: Retail store operations (Sales, Pricing and promotions & Inventory management), Online store operations, Customer relationship management (including multi-channel sales and marketing to attract, retain and grow value of customers) The salary package is competitive given the seniority of the role, and obviously Brisbane is a great place to live..... they really want to find a great employee which is why they are happy to look overseas and sponsor the right candidate. If this sounds interesting to you, or you'd like to discuss your experience with me in general please get in touch. Thanks, and I look forward to meeting everyone via this forum! Sarah
