  1. Translink says bus services have been suspended in the Caboolture, Redcliffe and Burpengary areas because of flooding in south-east Queensland. Train services through to the Sunshine Coast, north of Brisbane, are still running. There are also delays to public transport services in the Ipswich area, west of Brisbane, because of rising floodwaters.

    Help Needed- schools Burpengary

Hi guys, Just new here and Im a kiwi, and there are just no sites for kiwis like this one, I have used this site since deciding to move from NZ, so thanks!!! At present we have been her for 9 months and just had to move from the Gold Coast to Burpengary for my partners work (to far to commute) My son was bullied at his Gold Coast school as well as my daughter, but my son is just so terrified of schools now, also it didnt help that the teacher didn't know how to speak nicely and just yelled. So we are here now and I honestly am just so stressed about the next school, there is a few to choose from around here, but in particular am interested in the state schools as we just don't have the money for private till I get back to work. Any help would be appreciated,

Hi. Does anyone have any information on Bellmere? We're currently renting in Moronfield (sorry, Morayfield), which I would not recommend, and we're hoping to buy soon. We've investigated and know a few people who live in Narangba and Burpengary, and we are considering those areas, but we saw a house today in Bellmere which was near enough perfect: silly as it sounds, the one thing which is putting us off is the low price! We know it's currently getting built up, but that area is down the road from the house we saw, so we wondered if there's any other reasons for the low prices. Caboolture is a couple of K's away, and it does all seem very nice. I'd just like to know the best area to buy in Outer North Brisbane: the kids are settled in their school at Morayfield, so we want to be within 15 minutes drive of there, and the two of us work near the airport, so Burpengary and Narangba seem to tick the boxes for us, but now this lovely house in Bellmere has come up and made us think again! If anyone has further information on these areas, please let me know - anything to sort this out: we're ready to move!! Thanks for your time

Hi Have been in Brissy for a week and a half and currently looking for suburbs. We like the look of Burpengary - does anyone on here live there or know anything about it? Would you recommend it? We have 3 young boys (5 yr old and 2.5 yr old twins) just wondering if there will be things for them to do as they grow older. Any other recommendations for suburbs that are a bit rural (we discounted Narangba due to the Toxic industries there). Many thanks Angelcake

Hi everyone  Cannot believe how nervous I am......first time ever on a forum! I'm Irish but lived in London for years , married an Ozzie guy and moved out here just over a year ago now..took forever to settle in but now that I have we're moving again...to Burpengary...much to the horror of our friends.... GULP!!! I know nothing about the good and bad areas in Queensland to be honest and having been out around the area it seemed fine to me.....nice big blocks which is what I really wanted for the kids... We have two boys, aged three n half and one n half and they need plenty space to go mad !!! Is there anybody out there who can give me some more info about the area ...it would be nice to see some virtual friendly faces on here to put my mind at ease n reassure me that we are doing the right thing upping sticks and going off to start again a year down the track

    Burpengary, Queensland

Hi Can anyone tell me anything about Burpengary? I've been looking at the northern suburbs of Brisbane and hadnt considered coming out as far as Burpengary. Ive just been looking at some of the houses there and they look to be very reasonably priced and more spacious. It looks a bit more rural to me. Just wondering if its a decent area? What are the schools like? Is it commutable to Brisbane? What are the facilities like close by? Would you live there? Thanks Angelcake
