Guest posted a topic in VictoriaHi there arrived on 21 may and staying in temp accom in CBD whilst sorting out rented place. My toddler and I are going out of our minds with boredom and loneliness as we know noone and city attractions are expensive. Not sure which suburb we will end up in yet so can't join toddler groups and things. I'm not used to spending all my time with my toddler as had to give up my uk FT job to come out with my husband! And with big bump, no chance of job here for a while. So please help us keep sane... We love hot chocs and babycinos if any other families would like some new playmates thanks jenny and isobel
Helllo everyone, Hope you are all well and following your dreams!!! I haven't been on for ages, Our update is the house still hasn't sold, we have been putting off having a baby for over two years now waiting and waiting to have our baby in Australia. When we realised it doesn't look like the market will pick up for another year or so we decided to go for it and see what came first, baby or Aus, Baby won!!!!! We had our 14 week scan the other day and baby smith is doing well and very active!! We are due 11th Feb 2 days before my birthday!!! We fly to Sydney 3 weeks today 31st August to validate our visa's, can't wait it will feel like going home. I can't believe it's been 4 years since we came home. Our new plan is to wait until baby smith is 1 then hopefully the housing market might pick up, and we'll have more dosh to go (hopefully) After the very tough last 2 years it all seems to be fate, as my nan used to say, "what will be will be" both families are so pleased baby smith will be first grandchild on both sides, I know it will make it even more difficult to leave when we do go, but the benifits of having him/her here are revealing themselves each day. We have our 20 week scan the day after we get back from Aus, so will keep you informed, but for know we have got our head round the idea that this trip will just be a great holiday, Manly here we come, we've missed it so much!!! Good luck everyone, Neil, Kate and Bump!!!
Tonight i rec"d a phone call from an agent at Visabureau.com,to discuss us moving to Perth. The not so good news is that as i do not have a degree,a move to perth is not going to happen, however i would be able to go to south australia....... bit of a blow here really. Myself, i am open to going anywhere, but wifey doesn"t want to go unless its round Perth, understandable i suppose,if you are going half way roung the world, you have to be happy with where you are going. So here is my first (of probably alot) question. So heres a question,if i did an open university degree, would that count? oh and my trade would be for a General Engineering Tradesperson.
