    hey there - have been here for 7 months - working part time and look after my fab girl too. Just split up with my man after 11 years and really want to meet some mums and dads who can meet and do family fun throught the day with me my gorgegous gal, and some like minded people to have the occasional night out with too, nothing too flash but a coffee or a cocktail as missing my friends and after the break up - I kinda feel alone in the big wide world!!

    Hi, we re flying out in January, and are looking at Bracken ridge as a possible place to live, does anybody have first hand experience of either of the state schools there, we have children aged 7 and 16 and have heard that Sandgate maybe preferable for the older child as BR state high has a bad rep....

    Hi, We will be moving to Brisbane around December/January. Husbands work will be in Geebung, north of Brisbane. We wanted to base ourselves not far from Geebung but wanted a good family area too. I have been looking at Bracken Ridge area. Looks a good area and school looks good. Any info would be very welcome many thansk Nicky

    Hi All, Well i have just started using this forum and i am addicted to it already!! Me, Stephen and our 3 kids Laura 14, Daniel 13 and Joseph 10 are moving to Brisbane on 28th February and i am frantically researching tne area around about where Stephen will be working. He will be working in Wooloowin but that looks a bit expensive so there is quite a few suburbs around there like Bracken Ridge, Bald hills, Bridgeman downs, Aspley and Albany Creek. Is there any of you lot living there?? or anybody got any info on the schools around there?? Bracken Ridge state schools look really nice?? Any info good or bad would be very much appreciated. We were originally going to Adelaide but everything changed when Stephen got a job offer in Brisbane just before Christmas!!! Since then have been panic mode:chatterbox:dont know wether i am coming or going!! Looing forward to hearing from anyone!! Nicola x
