  1. So I'm wanting to move to Australia, permanently. I plan to get a two yearly working holiday visa, and then after this - what are my options? I'm an exotic dancer so I really don't have a career path. While in Australia I'd like to do some beauty courses. Ultimately I'd like to set up my own business which is very doable, weather it's mobile, in home or small store. Is there a visa for me to start a small business and stay in Australia after the two year working holiday visa? Or what are my options, if any, to permanently move and live in Australia?
  2. My name is Chelsea, I am living in Melbourne (mulgrave) and I am looking for full time work! I am a fully qualified Beautician with NVQ Level 2 and a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy plus many other qualifications. I have previously worked for Laura Ashley in the UK and have gained a lot of experience working in sales from there. They are very strict on customer service so i believe i am strong in that field. Any help with current vacancies suitable for me would be greatly appreciated or if you are an employer please get in touch!!! I am here on a Working Holiday Visa so can only stay with an employer for 6 months, but might apply for Partner Visa eventually as my boyfriend has permanent residency and can apply for citizenship later this year (if that helps!!) TIA!

  5. Hi everyone, I couldn't wait to share my good news with you all, so after 14 very long weeks I got an email to advise me that I have a positive skills assessment and I have been granted eligibility for membership to the AASW. What a great Christmas present. Now for the IELTS (don't know why) but hey ho. Good luck to everyone for Monday. Gillian

I'm quite new to the proffession, having studied general beauty therapy to NVQ level 2 last year (although not actually gained the qualification). Can anyone tell me whether I'll be able to get insurance to work in Aus on this basis, or will I need to actually get the formal internationally recognised qualifications before I travel? (Don't know if it makes any difference but I am dual nationality and have an Aus passport) Grateful to anybody who can help me on this. many thanks, Alison
