Panel Beater AQF3 (AQFIII) Recommend company

I have just completed my AQFIII for Panel Beating, it was very easy to do.... Australian Skill Assessment dealt with it for me. I live in Ireland at the moment but without a qualification i was stuffed, so Australian Migrations (Kildare and Brisbane) put me in touch with Australian Skill Assessment company who done the rest for me.... I will not lie to you there was alot of paperwork to prove my competency and nearly 4hrs of a Web Interview at 5am Ireland time, but overall was worth it. Totally recommend them!! ATA is OK for UK and Ireland but if your going to OZ then what better than to have an Oz qualification. Was cheaper too, not by much, but save where you can........ Australian Skill Assessment UNITED KINGDOM AUSTRALIA Enterprise House GPO Box 1371 5 Roundwood Lane Brisbane Harpenden QLD 4001 Hertfordshire AL5 3BW UK Freephone: 0800 881 8457 Aust. Telephone: +61 (0)7 3040 1119 International: +44 (0)1582 760809

    Panel beater recommendations please

Hi everyone, I live in Glen Iris, and work in Bayswater - my poor little car came off second best to the lovely hail storm that we had a couple of weekends ago, and I have about a dozen dimples on my bonnet, as well as a couple on my roof:mad: (Ok, I am not the tallest person in the world, and can only see a couple on the roof - there could be a few more) Can anyone recommmend a good (and reasonable priced) panel beater somewhere near me? Thanks!! Jules
  7. My OH is trying to find a 5 week temp job preferably in a panel beater position. We are headin out on 19 Sept to validate our perm res visas and OH wants to get the feel for aussie work life while we visit. I have searched intensively all job web sites, emailed companies directly and cant find any recruitment agencies in this field. Will be most grateful for any help/advice or business owners who may help! He can also do weld work and will consider anything away from panel work if offered. We are not stuck to a specific state but are aware a trade license is required for NSW. (can apply on arrival) Pleez anyone can you help???????/
  8. Dear All Does anyone know if you need a licence / registration to work as a panel beater in Australia? Thanks.
  9. Hi PIO, My OH is a Panel Beater with City & Guilds part 1 & 2 n were thinking of going 4 a 176 visa instead of a 457. I have been told by an agent that because he doesn't have a certificate from the employer stating that all modules were completed and stating how many hours were completed on each section then he will have 2 get assessed - TRA $300 may b ok but it might not b enough and he will have 2 get AQF (I think thats what she called it !) which will need 2 b completed in Australia and cost $2000 plus the cost of the flights !!!. Is this the same as VETASSESS that i've seen on this forum ?? n is what i've been told right ???? Can anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help me out with this cos i'm begining 2 change my mind completely n not bother going at all !!!! Lynne  xx
