    stumbling upon a bargain?

what was the last bargain you stumbled upon? Driving through port campbell on the great ocean road yesterday it was blowing a gale and we were abit put off putting the tent up so were looking for somewhere cheap to stay, came round a corner and theres a sign outside a house right next to the beach saying $80 a night, stop to look at the sign and the fella that owns the house comes out and rents us his house for the night...... nice place, big, gorgeous ocean view and $20 a night cheaper than a pokey motel room!!!! :jiggy: whats your bargain story?
  6. Hi all, My husband and I are hoping to sell a two bedroom cottage we bought a few years back. It's on an island called Karragarra, which is near Brisbane (just over an hour, including drive and ferry) The cottage has two bedrooms and has been recently renovated - polished floorboards, open log fire and a large deck looking out at amazing water views. It's also only five minutes walk from Karra's sandy beach, BBQ facilities, roped off swimming area, ferry facilities and so on. Small and close community. Demand is pretty slow in the 'holiday cottage' market at the moment, so we're looking at finding buyers who want a gorgeous, beach side lifestyle near Brisbane for a bargain price - maybe people looking to retire near family, etc. Perfect for fishing, keeping a boat, kayaking or just lounging on the beach. Asking 300,000 ONO.

  9. hi everyone, if you live in Australia and miss Marks and Spencers stuff, you might like to know that they are currently charging a flat rate of £15 for delivery of "any amount" of goods there. It excludes stuff like furniture and food, but includes homeware, clothing and so on. I placed an order on the weekend to send a king size duvet, bed set, loads of towels, bathroom stuff etc to my mother's house in Queensland and it was sent off today by air via ParcelForce. With the pound being fairly worthless at the moment and only £15 for delivery by air, you might want to place an order. I doubt this offer will last long, though - but its not an error or anything. Marks & Spencer cheers sg
