Rana Shahjahan posted a topic in Skilled VisasHi Everyone, My name is Rana Shahjahan. I have applied for SC189 Visa on 12th October 2018 after receiving an invitation on 11th October 2018. I have a question or an advice as I think I am in a mess and my application might get rejected. Can anyone here please help me on my matter. I would really appreciate it. Points Claimed: 75 Education: 15 Experience: 10 Age: 30 English: 20 Now the issue is that I have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science(Honours) and ACS has assessed my degree and AQF bachelor Degree with a major in computing, but somehow due to mistake I submitted an EOI with Honours Degree in Science and Technology. I am able to receive an Invitation on the basis of this EOI and later I submitted the VISA with same degree option as well. Recently, one of my friend told me that my degree has been assessed as Bachelors not Honours, so because of this I submitted Notification of incorrect answer(s) to show that I selected Honours by mistake. Now I am afraid that because of the this issue and that EOI has Honours degree and Visa have Bachelors degree, they might reject my VISA application. Can any experience person guide me and help me on this matter. What are the chances of Rejection in this case? I am really tensed. Thank you so much Best Regards Rana Shahjahan
I turned down a fairly good training contract opportunity in the UK on completion of my LLB (Bachelors) in hope that I could follow a new path here in Australia. After hearing many good stories that people were moving to Sydney and places alike, to practise Law. I understand there is a requirement to study a few modules in order to hold the relevant level of education in Australian Law, but am struggling to find any information or even job opportunities which may help in my decision to go to university here. The high international student fees worry me with no real prospect of actually finding a job at the end. At which point I get to my question as to whether anybody has any success stories in finding sponsorship in the legal sector or in fact know of any firms known for helping UK educated bodies in becoming a lawyer in Oz. Is is a bit of a far out question and Im really just trying my luck for a bit of a nudge in the right direction. Any replies will be so very kindly appreciated.

horbola posted a topic in Visa ChatI have a Bachelors degree on Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a Japanese university which in not on Sydney/Washington accord. And I have worked as NW engineer/systems analyst/Systems Engineer for the last 5 years and ACS gave me a positive skill assessment on 263111 for 4 years and 2 months, but they did not mention anything about my Bachelors degree on their assessment. Now, on the new point test, its says the following: ---- To claim points for a qualification obtained overseas, the qualification will need to be recognised as being of a standard comparable to the relevant Australian level qualification. Generally, applicants will be able to request an opinion on their qualification claims from the relevant assessing authority when seeking their skills assessment. For further information about this process, applicants should contact the relevant assessing authority. See: www.immi.gov.au/asri/a-z.htm -- My question is: In order to claim points on my bachelors degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering should I (1) Contact Engineer Australia? or, (2) Contact ACS and ask to evaluate my degree as they already assessed my work experience? or, re-apply to ACS to get assessed both for BSc. degree and work experience again? Guys, Am I the only one who think his case is uncommon or everybody else having non-Australian degree and work experience are facing this? Thank you so much guys, I wish you all the best.
