  1. Hi, I've sent several blank emails to GSM Processing over the last four weeks but I've had nothing back. Has anyone else had this? I send a completely blank email with no subject or anything and the address is correct as I sent it using the link from DIAC. Help please. Thanks, Mick
  2. Sorry if the following seems to be a bit nit picking/pedantic, but please understand I'm just an anxious Dad with a family (paper lodged 175 visa in Jan 08) trying to get back out to AU asap as we had a wonderful time there in April 2008!!! I'm a Civil Engineer and I deal with fine detail - so apologies! Anyway, can anyone please explain or help regarding a particular section of the automated messages generated by ASPC - specifically the skilled migrant processing updates? I'm just wondering why the "19 September 2007 "date highlighted below has'nt changed since February this year? Why is this so? Am I misunderstanding the wording? For example; this is a direct quote from the the automated ASPC email - ASPC PROCESSING INFORMATION - For the week of 11 August 2008 Applications lodged on or before the dates shown below have been allocated to case officers for further processing. General Skilled Migration visas: Class VE Subclasses: 175 and 176 E-lodged: 21 November 2007 Paper lodged: 19 September 2007 The 19/9/07 has'nt changed since Feb 08. WHY????? I appreciate ASPC are very busy at the moment. And, I realise that a 175 visa can take up to 12 months to process/reach a decision. But I'm just trying to estimate when? The automated response from ASPC implies that you can keep an indirect track on processing. But, if the tracking information does'nt change - what is the point? Please help!!!

    aspc automated email

Hi folks, has anyone else noticed the email that gets sent back from aspc has not been updated for two weeks, it still says reciepting ofshor applications recieved 23 july, mine reached them 24 july and i have not heard a dicky bird from them. Anyone have any idea whats going on, starting to get a bit worried something is wrong with our application.
  4. I applied for my 136 visa on 25thof November. I know they have recieved it due to parcel packing. When should I recieve confirmation of reciept and what is this automated email people refer to? Thanks Andy and family :?:
  5. I guess many of you will know this already, but DIMIA have an e-mail reply service giving the status of their visa application backlog. Just send an empty e-mail to aspc.processing@immi.gov.au, and you'll receive a reply telling you which visa applications (by date of initial application) they are currently processing. I found this very useful before I was assigned a case officer, because replies to my queries about my visa application were rarely answered. In the end my application for a Skilled, Australian Sponsored visa took over 7 months before I was even assigned a case officer - considerably longer than the 4-5 months mentioned in the inital letter acknowledging receipt of my application. My application is still going through, and the whole process will have taken about 10 months to complete. John Wheeler.
