Hi, I just thought i'd post this so that anyone currently waiting for an ACS assessment is aware of the new status update as I was quite disappointed this morning! My husband phoned ACS at 2am and spoke to his case officer to enquire how much longer the assessment may take (we have had the Victoria SS request for skills assessment and have 3 months). We had to re send degree transcripts and our case officer said that the 12 weeks starts again from the new document received date. Im not moaning as I know it was our fault, but the point of the story is that even though our status is 'In progress' and the bottom box is pointing to currently with Assessor that its still going to take 12 weeks, so dont expect it to be soon as I dont think it works like that! :smile:

Hi, I'm a qualifed NVQ Assessor with the A1 award (equivilant to a Level 3 NVQ)... would anyone know please what skill occupation this would fit in to... As i dont think its enough to for the Vocational Teacher occupation , but was looking at a Trades person and related workers...??? An nvq assessor is classed a professional occupatation in the UK but not sure what it will come under in Australia.... any thoughts..?? thanks in advance for any help

Hi I Have the UK Pitmans Qualifications Assessor Award D32 and D33 Certificate, there is a good explaination of it HERE. Does anyone know what the Australian equivalent of Pitmans D32/D33 Assessors Award is.:unsure: I thought it may be it was a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA) but cant be sure, your thoughts are appreciated. cheers

Hi all, I am looking to move to australia as an House Energy Ratings Assessor. I do a very similar job in the uk, Domestic Energy Assessor. Hopfully some kind sole out there will have some advice on where to look for infomation. Would it be aceptable to just send companies an email on the off chance or is that going one step too far. I have seen other threads on this site giving advice as to web sites that advertise job vacancies but I have yet to find any, vacancies that is. If there is a lack of opportunities then maybe we will have to rethink. Any advice would be greatly received. Thanks.:notworthy: :Randy-git:don't know what this is but I thought it looked funny??!!
