Some of us know that Ricky and Andrew had a slight disagreement yesterday at the end of the days play in Adelaide. So, to get the old 'rivalry' going again, (play nicely, :wubclub::biglaugh:) just what was being said between the two captains last night, I'm sure it wasn't to invite each other over for Christmas dinner.:wubclub: Cheers Tony.

hello all we shall be landing in melbourne at the start of september and i'm looking for some advice on getting tickets for the melbourne cup and the ashes i.e best booking now or waiting until we land in oz.
-
Hopefully we should give the Aussies more of a game this time in Oz . The new additions are making the Poms a decent outfit . Look out for Steven Finn , similar to Glenn McGrath in his action . If hes half the player i will be happy . The selectors are wrapping him in cotton wool......he will be used sparingly whilst they build his strength and conditioning.

14 months...25000km on a bike... London to Brisbane ... with a cricket bat Met this English bloke Oli in Budapest last night at our local, he has been staying at a friend's hostel and playing cricket match Saturday. He is on his way by bicycle to watch the Ashes in Oz late 2010. His Blog Cycling to the Ashes. His Website Cycling to the Ashes. He is open to sponsors, ideas, whatever!

Imaginatively, what are your thoughts for the final test? 1-1, all to play for, England need to win, Aus need a draw so that Ponting is not the first Aussie captain to lose the Ashes twice. What do you think? I think the England team will be an abortion of mixed up selections that will not gel and they will get another hiding. 2-1 to Aus, I get to quote myself in giant 'Geoffrey' capitals and do a jig!
-
So then, 1-0 England, 2 to play. Predictions please gentlemen (and ladies that understand LBW only please): I am sticking to 2-1 Australia, only because that is what I said at the start. Odds not great, but the Aussie team has got to click at some point. For after the series, I predict Punters to resign as captain and watch his batting average soar, Micky Clarke to take over

Not one of those venues that inspires me and I have no idea of Ashes history at the ground. This series (especially Second Test) has been so up and down, I think this one could go either way. If England win the Second Test, they will be positive, but Australia will be angry and up for a fight. If Australia win the Second Test, will England's heads drop? Who knows??? Lots of time before this starts on 30 July, so predictions please. Only definite in my book is if Freddie does not play, England will lose. He inspires the rest of the team, especially Jimmy Anderson. He is aggresive and the Team takes its lead from him. Hope his knee stands up.

Hi Just wondered if anyone got one of the cheap tickets this morning? I couldn't even get on the site and couldn't be bothered to try phoning, figured that would be as bad.......................... Maybe next time we win a test (ha ha ha ), I'll try harder.
-
So then, predictions. I think the false hope of a drawn test that should have been an innings defeat will spur the Aussies on and let the English feel too positive. The Aussies will win the toss, bat first, score 500 and eventually win by 8 wickets after forcing England to follow-on.
