Hi All, I have applied for my 187 RSMS application in May 2016 when i was on bridging visa A and because of that i was granted a BVC with Nil conditions. In December 2018 my nomination and visa was refused that business doesn't need a manager. we appealed to AAT and i was given same BVC with NIL conditions and yesterday we have lost the appeal and now going for FCC and will have to apply for another BVC. My question is about working rights. Will it come with same working rights as my previous BVC ? or do i need to apply for work rights separately? i am asking all this because i need to make arrangements at my work place by giving them enough notice if i am going to loose my work rights for some time. Incase i need to apply for work rights by showing financial hardship, do i need to mention about my de facto partner name as my family who is on a student visa and not capable to supporting me or should i not mention about her, Is she my family in Australia?? Please please please help me by answering these couple of questions about my working rights when applying for a new BVC for my FCC for 187 RSMS application. thank you

I am thinking of australia as a place to go and work for a while. I've seen that a migrant (175) visa can be pretty pricey to set up etc...so my question is, as a nurse, can i go on a temporary visa to see if i like living there then apply for permanency if I do? I'm too old for a working holiday visa (i'm 39; and I'd be coming out alone). Any info much appreciated. Thanks.

Hello we are new to this site. My Family and I have just received our 176 state sponsor visa for Perth and we are now waiting to sell our house in the UK. The thing is we are working out our options if we dont sell our house and try and rent it at first. Q1 How much money will we need to bring with us (family of 5) to help get set up with short term rent ect ? Q2 It does say on the form to bring around £45000 with you !! Is this accurate and do they check ? Q3 Does any one know the best way to sort out short term and long term rentals , can we arrange this before we come over ? Q4 Can anyone advise on electric sockets/plugs for TV's ect and for tools (saw's, Jigsaw's) Q5 We are looking at Northern Suburbs of Perth if possible any suggestions on affordable areas with good schools (primary at first) and facilities ? Q6 Can anyone recommend any good removal companies ? If anyone can help on these questions it would be much appreciated , Thanks.

sad as it is england is at the centre of most of the worlds attention for the wrong reasons--senseless violence, and looting--it seems a section of young people have just turned there noses up at the society we live in,and decided to just go there own way--so what is the answer to a problem which has gone unnoticed for so long till these events bring it to our attention is it how we educate our young people is it a society they feel has given up on them is it the way they are perceive these are just a few things they may feel so whats the answer to the problem--national service/imprison there parents/curfews/re-education/harsher punishments/put something in there water supply/or just forget about them with the attitude of i'm alright jack in my ivory tower--so what is the answer--believe it or believe it not the youth of every country is our future--if we don't solve this issue it will eventually change all our lives--i'm not saying all young people are like this, but it may get to a point where most feel there's no alternative

Hi, I am just about to apply for my 175 (after my IELTS next week) but the processing time is 18 Months which is way too long since I am rather impatient and I'm keen to get over there. Could I apply for my 175 in August, then apply for a WHV (417) in December and go out immediately in Dec/Jan on the WHV while I wait for the 175 to be approved? Do I have to be in the UK for any of the medicals etc? I know I will have to come out of Aus just before the 175 is granted but I will just pop over to NZ for a week or so Oh and finally, could I qualify to take my car out on the 417? Probably not Im thinking! I would have to wait for the 175 to be granted and come back to get it! Luke

Can't find the answer anywhere :( Can I quit my 457 for a de facto visa?
Guest posted a topic in Visa Chat
Hi Everyone, I have been spending weeks on forums to try to find the answer to my question. I even have contacted the immi by mail a week ago and I am still waiting for a reply! Here's my case: I am holding a 457 and I cant stand my job anymore. In the meantime I have applied for a de facto visa 3 months ago. I cannot have a bridging visa as I am already holding a visa. The question is.... If I leave my employement will have be given a bridging visa whilst I wait for the de facto visa to be assessed? I was willing to wait for another 3 months (it should have taken 6 months for the visa to be granted) but I heard from the immigration departement that they are only assessing application logged in August 2010! I am sure that I am not the only one in this situation, Cheers, -

Hello everyone, I have been a bit stressed recently as the DIAC have not been able to give me a straight answer to what category I was in after a recent change. However I emailed them yesterday saying how concerned I was that I believed my application had been missed. The application that was returned this morning stated that 'my application had now been updated and my case had been highlighted under schedule 3 foir attention'. Does this now mean I am in category 3. My processing time has already been and gone for category 3 18.09.09. So do you think they will just pick it up a lot quicker. Any ideas?

I am in in a real dilemma about moving to Oz. Looking into nursing in Melbourne. Im 44 now so worry about setting up all over again. Worry about expense of moving. Worry about moving my 11 year old that is not keen on idea at all and has just got into an outstanding secondary school here. However was prepared to go for it until my mum passed away this week and my friends and family have been here for me and the thought of leaving them all behind seems unbearable. Half of me thinks why dont I just move house here, and go on a great holiday next year but the other half thinks that I dont want to have a regret about not trying it. I may miss out on a great life with great opportunities. Or am I just going to be sobbing into my socks when I get there? What an earth do I do?

Does anyone know the answer...I have an account still in the UK but have hit a problem with statements missing, due to rental moves. To avoid these issues again I am keen to have a PO Box set up here for all my post from the UK to be delivered to...then I do not have to worry every time we move with change of address. This is the problem I have asked Barclays if I can use an Australian PO Box number and they seem very vague with their answer. Just need yes you can or no you can't. I do not really want to have to use someone elses address in the UK as I do not want to give them the hassle of sending post to me monthly. At the moment I am about 3/4 statements behind (its not an account I can have internet access with either) my previous rental agents say they haven't got them, bank says they were sent. I only moved out 15th May so the last 3 would have been while we were there. Oh and they want to charge me for resending these statements!!! Can anyone shed any light on this. Thanks Sue

I am currently living in Australia with my hubby and children on a 457 visa, although we have just had the go ahead to apply for PR from dh's company. I am currently a stay at home mum, but I have started to think about what I would like to do once the kiddies go off to school. Our eldest is due to start in Jan next year, and I would be looking to start work/uni next year or the year afterwards. I used to be an optometrist in the UK, but I only worked as an optom for four years, and I have now been out of work for over four years with the children, so getting back in to it (I would have to resit my professional exams to work in Australia) would be very difficult, if not impossible without a huge amount of study. Also, I disliked the commercial/money aspect of the job, feeling like I was being pressured to sell at the expense of the clinical side of things. Two of the careers which keep coming up when I talk to my hubby about it are nursing and midwifery. I think that they would give me the clinical things that I like, without the pressures of selling. However, as I don't know any nurses or midwives, I really am guessing as to what the jobs entail. I wondered if anyone could give me a general overview of what is involved on a day to day basis, what are the good bits and bad, and how nursing/midwifery fits in to your family life. I understand that there are a huge number of specialisations covered in nursing, but any general ideas would be very, very useful in evaluating whether I would be suited. Many thanks.

Hello all. I do have a few questions for clarification. 1. My wife is on maternity leave and is a secondary school teacher, will she be able to count her maternity leave as part of her teaching experience when we apply for Australian Immigration? 2. Is it true that if you have longer experience then you will get more points for your application? My wife has approximately 1 year and 7 months experience from last two years. Before becoming full time teacher she did supply teaching. 3. How long does it take to get visa for skilled independent category class. What is the minimum and maximum time scale? Any help or advice will be much appreciated.
