Hi can anyone shed some light on whether, being on new Ansco code 254499 nec (NOT ELSEWHERE CLASSIFIED), would put be at the bottom of the nurse processing list ?? Confused.com Had spoken to some one at queensland work live play who said they had changed my code over to new Anzsco. when i challenged it and said that code didnt match my current job description as a district nurse and felt that the community health code matched better. I was told it would make no difference where finding a job is concerned and only for immigration purposes. I feel its a code when they unsure as to where to place you which is fine so long as it doesnt affect the processing priority at immigration. Im assured it doesnt, but with the bad luck im having lately anything is possible x Please help :confused: Annette

Hi there Please please can anyone help me? Im sure Im not the only one getting super frustrated with all this now!! We applied for a 176 WA sponsorsed visa last November as IT Project Manager - now we are not on the new SOL so have been told end of 2012 at least for processing. We are in Oz on a 1 yr working hol visa at the moment. We think we might be able to get hubbys skills reassessed as Business Analyst (on the new SOL list yipeee). Do you think we would be able to then change our 176 to be a 175 generali application with a new anzco code or do you think we would have to make a new application? I would really appreciate any help... we started our application in Feb 09 and are about ready to give up now... mb New Zealand would be better! Thank you thank you x:wink:

Please read the below and help me to sort this out. I dont have anyone to help me at this stage who came accross same problem. :no: I applied for the ACS assesment 3 months ago and got the results letter end of the June saying that Im eligible for 2231-79 Computing Professionals nec which is ASCO code. I was hopping to apply under VISA category 175. When I check the shedule 2 -SOL, I can see the correlation for the 2231-79 Computing Professionals nec code to 261399 Software and Applications Programmers nec AND 261314 Software Tester as per the doc in URL (http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/_pdf/sol-schedule2.pdf). When I go and check the description for the above new ANZCO codes in URL http://www.immi.gov.au/employers/_pdf/asco-anzsco-correlations-all-occupations.pdf, could find the job description for the Software Tester. But Im not a tester.. Im a oracle developer. Therefore I should get the ANZCO code 261312 Developer Programmer. Again I checked the Shedule 3, I could not find any corelation there for the code 2231-79 Computing Professionals nec , but it s there in the shedule 4. But I dont know whether I can apply under shedule 4. My questions are as follows 1. Can I still apply for VISA catogory 175 if not what would be the possible catoegory ? 2. Do I need to get the review done from the ACS to get the new ANSCO code ? 3. Will it be free of charge or not ? 4. If I'm to apply for review do I need to send all the documents I submited ealier ? 5. Which SOL shedule apply for me ? Please Please help me . :sad::sad::sad: I'm very confused.
