Hi Has any one had any dealings with a good financial advisor in Brissie? We are looking to speak to one ASAP about a number of things probably - but initially salary packaging, tax etc. relating to my other half's company car/allowance etc. If anyone has had dealings - any indication of their rates?? We also have various "insurances" still being paid in the UK and are wondering whether to ditch them for similar Aus policies etc. Cheers for any replies Andy

Hey, We have been in Melbourne since January on a 457 Visa. This is out first tax return and know hardly anything about what's involved. I remember someone telling me that it would be worth our while seeing a tax advisor that has knowledge about the visa we are on as what we can claim may be different? Also as my husband is a tradie there maybe more things than the usual we can claim for. Can anyone suggest a tax advsor ? or perhaps has been through a tax return and can tell us whats involved etc? We also still own a house in the UK if that makes any difference Thanks in advance :yes:

Are recruitment advisors easier to use in Oz than they appear to be online?

I currently work in sports travel, I organise the travel for a formula one tream to all the GP's. I'm looking to get into sports travel over in Oz. Specifically AFL. Now, I've seen numerous jobs advertised through recruitment consultants, however, they seem ridiculously hard to use, unfriendly and to be honest, didn't seem to have a clue what they were talking about. Can anyone suggest any decent recruitment agencies? Thanks! Ian -
Hi Guys, any Mechanics out there looking for work? I am the Service Manager of a Holden Dealer, and am looking for technicians with a British work ethic! I don't need Dealer experience although it would be a bonus. I have lots of work for people with the right attitude. ie work hard earn plenty! after all, that's what it's about! I also have vacancies for Service Advisors. I myself have been newly recruited and will tell you no lies, the dealer needs work! The upside is that their are some really nice people with really good ideas and there is plenty of work. The vacancies are west of the city in Port Adelaide, around 15min drive from Glenelg, the company has 14 dealerships and are looking to expand. They also branch out into Finance and Caravaning so a pretty well established company. PM me if you are interested Cheers

Just wondered if anyone could offer any advice? We are moving over at the end of Sept this year and looking at Secret Harbour, Willetton, Leeming or Canning Vale areas to settle. My hubby is looking to get into a car dealership working as a service advisor. Where would be the best places to start looking for this type of work near to these areas please? we are currently looking at the main websites (toyota, holden, etc) but was just wondering what work was like there at the moment? Hello to anyone who can help!! Do any financial advisors etc have a educated prediction on how the exchange rate is going for changing money from £££ to $$$Au?? Is it up or down, good or bad for us wanting to change money when emmigrating?? Thanks Michele x
