Hi all, I've been searching around and can't seem to find any information on the best way to proceed for my situation. My partner and I are looking to emigrate to Australia in the next 18 months or so. I am a 28 year old web developer (computer programmer) with no formal qualifications except A-Levels, but I have been in this industry for 7.5 years. My partner is 30 years old and a nurse with a diploma and 3+ years experience. What would be the best way to apply (which visa and as a joint application/single)? From what I can tell we will have enough points and our jobs are both on the SOL list, but I'm unsure about the skills assessment process for myself as I have no qualifications. I understand I will probably need to complete an ACS/RPL. I was wondering what was involved in the assessment process, what sort of documentation needs to be produced and how the assessment is completed? I've tried searching within the forums but it isn't able to search for "ACS" or "RPL". If anyone can provide me with information on the assessment what's asked, etc? If we apply as my partner as the main applicant will this make things easier, or will we both be assessed individually? I appreciate any help as this is an absolute minefield and there's so much conflicting advice out there! Thanks, Dave
