  1. Hi guys, Having terrible trouble finding halfway decent short term accomm in Perth! We think we will be there from around 1st November and need somewhere for at least 4 weeks. I can't believe some of the dumps out there that people are looking for crazy money for. We're expecting a baby on 4th December so move is extra scary and looking at all the horrible run down places is killing the excitement of the move a bit! We would be happy to pay €3k for 4 weeks or could stretch to maybe €3.5k if necessary. Could be an apartment or a house, had to have air con as we have 2 year old (who is used to Galway weather!) and access to a pool would be great. Very flexible about location. Not looking for luxury but clean bright and modern (decorated more recently than the 80's would help!!!) One bedroom would be fine. Am I kidding myself with my budget? Thanks guys! Kate.
  2. Hi my sister and brother in law are coming to visit us in Brisbane and want to go to Sydney for new year from 28 - 3 Jan. They have to go there as their flight is from there and cannot change it and need accommodation. They are willing and happy to pay for someone to put them up for 6 nights room only and they would be out most of time sight seeing. Could anyone put them up for a few nights? We've searched different accommodation but is coming up at 2k for a few nights and need cheaper options around $400 mark for 6 nights, is this realistic. They are happy to stay in someone's spare room. Any ideas anyone? They are early 30's no kids and good honest people. Thank you.
  3. Hello there, we arrive in Brissy on 17 April and willbe staying with family initially. We then want to rent somewhere furnished as we think we will just put our shipping into storage when it arrives so that when we eventually buy we have to just move it once. Is this feasible do you think? We will need a rented house as we have a one year old - so not an apartment ideally. Can you get furnished places? Or would we be better having our shipping delivered? We would like to buy asap, but this will depend on jobs and getting settled etc. Really worried about all this, what to do for the best! Any advice appreciated.
  4. We (wife and I) are moving September 26th (yay) to Victoria. We are thinking of living in the Geelong or nearby. We need temp accomm from when we land for about 4 weeks. Have thought about the YHA and they are relatively cheap and clean but they don't like 4 weeks (doh). Anyone have any info for short term rental, one or 2 bed place, room in shard house(?), could go to 8 weeks but hope to find long term rental within 4 weeks? Any ideas welcome, we are on a short budget till we find work. Thanks in advance James and Jules

    Perth coast accomm

I'm having a stress because I can't seem to find anywhere to stay on our reccy CHRISTMAS 2009!!! Everything seems to be booked up that's any good. We've got 2 daughters so want something coastal, clean, free from bedbugs(lol), just a nice place to see and get around from. Has anyone got any suggestions on holiday apartments, houses to rent etc for 10 days from 17th - 27th december ish.

  7. Hi All, My parents have just returned home after a holiday in Australia. As they were going to be traveling around Australia and wanted to base their travels from Melbourne, they came across a small rental company called Australian Home Away (www.australianhomeaway.com). Their hosts Bob, Sandra & Susan did everything possible to assist in their requirements and provided good quality accommodation in various parts of Melbourne. So, if any of you or your friends get stuck with finding a place to stay, give them a call.
