  1. Hi, I am new to this forum and need assistance regarding ACS query. At first, I applied for ACS in Feb 2011 when I was in Company_A. So, I got positive ACS report stating my experience till Feb 2011 in Company_A. That ACS report expired in Mar 2013. I was in same company and was doing same job so I just applied for revalidation of ACS report (without submitting new documents) and got same ACS letter with new expiry date (May 2015). This updated ACS letter still showing Company_A experience till Feb 2011 however I worked there till Feb 2014. Please advise if I can still submit same ACS letter (as it's still valid) OR it can be a problem for me because ACS letter showing experience till Feb 2011 and I worked in Company_A till Feb 2014. Although, I will submit appointment letter, experience letter and salary slips to support my employment till Feb 2014. Many Thanks, Athar
  2. Hi everyone, I'm suffering from this all consuming, obsessive condition called "Australian WHV idea!" And I am applying for my WHV in the new year to hopefully fly out sept/oct 2014, I'm currently aiming to save approx £6000 perhaps more to, firstly, visit family in Bunbury where I can stay for as long as I need or want then, ideally, I would like to get my 'specified work/agricultural work' out of the way ASAP so I qualify for the 2nd year visa. I have worked in a garment/fabric dying and packaging warehouse for 9 years (since I was 16) and have done labouring and painting and decorating on building sites and privately, on-the-side - so am no stranger to hard graft. I can show my employment references etc (which would be praising I hope!) so; hopefully I won't struggle to find work? With regards as to where to go after Bunbury/Perth, I have no plans apart from Ayres Rock, Great Barrier Reef, Whitsunday islands (cliché I know), maybe a crazy road trip, or motorcycle trip, and I love cities so I'd like to see as many of the big ones as possible, but like I said nothing is concrete and I have no idea in which order to do any of this in! I would like to return to Perth for XMAS NYE however to be with family. So in conclusion, I am 25, have always dreamed of doing this, I have family to fall back on; if needs be, will have a fair bit of cash to take with me, like to work, and like to party, so finding work will be definately needed as i am not one for scrimping - i like to enjoy myself, the only thing is I will possibly be heading out alone as none of my mates are bothered by the idea (crazy I know) so, if any of you guys have any advice, tips, work related websites, or are thinking of doing the same kind of thing around the same time, drop me a message! Thanks, Tom.
  3. Hi folks, I've just moved to the Eastern suburbs of Sydney from London and I'm currently living with my sister until I find my own place (She's lived here for a few years with her husband). I'm looking to build my own circle of friends in Sydney…which is easier said then done. I'm 25, I love coffee, food, film and catching up over a drink. Get in touch if your new in town (or old) and looking to get to know Sydney better with new friends. Hopefully we can get a group together to meet up for a beverage. Ta x
  4. Dear all, Just a quick post to say I am sending today our application for a Partner visa 309/100 sponsored by my Aussie husband. I wanted to keep a trace of the timeline of this process, for us but also for other people so that they know how long the process can take. Our situation is the following: I am a French national living in London, where I have lived for 15 years (honorary Pom I suppose!), I have a son who's half English, half French and my husband is Australian. We're just about to welcome to the world our own little joey, whose birth is impending as we speak! We're looking at relocating to Australia by the end of the year...fingers crossed our timeline is good, I guess we shall see! Good luck to other people in a similar situation.
  5. Hi there everyone, I'm a 27 year old, Intensive Care Nurse planning on moving to Australia around November of 2014. I previously went to Australia on a working visa 8 years ago and have always wanted to go back. I'm heading over there around November 2014, on my own with a plan to travel around for a number of months before starting my job. Has anybody else relocated on their own? Have you got any advice? How have you found leaving your family and friends? Is there anyone else with similar plans to me? Thank you, Lizzie

    Now or never right?

Hi I'm at a point where I am not sure if I want to continue as an accountant, I have the qualifications but my heart isnt in it, I lost my baby brother last year and since I have felt like there's something missing I've tried marathons for charity, climbed mountains, feel like I've been to the moon and back to find something that makes me happier... I realised life is too short and to do the things that make you happy, this crappy office with the same crap everyday just aint helping! I only rent I have no husband, a job I can quit with a 1 month notice and I am 22... this is the only time in my life I can up and go... I'm petrified as there is so much to organise but i want to do a working visa in Australia, I don't care where, I don't care what work, I will do anything. I have a few mates to fall back on there, I have given my self a target to have gone by next May (2014) but if any one is in the same sort of situation or can help suggest a good place to start I would be really grateful.

New Campervan The ECCO goes on sale in 2014

Wow is the world really going to turn all star treckie. I can't imagine it will have 4 wheel drive options:nah: Passengers enter the 4.5m-long Ecco vehicle through a stairway that folds into the ceiling. The space is then transformed with a flip-out top deck, collapsible walls and fold-down seats for extra room. The Ecco sleeps five and is also eco-friendly with a solar-panelled roof that charges its battery and producing zero emissions. An eight-hour charge promises to keep it running for 24 hours, and it will be able to reach a top speed of 145km/h.
