    Cat flying out on 15th....

Our Siamese is leaving the uk on the 15th, but will be going to Sydney as by the time our visas arrived, we could not get her into Perth until the middle of April!, We werent prepared to wait that long to get her, so PetAir Uk suggested Sydney for her 30 days, then flight to Perth and we collect her from the airport. For an extra £220 it was a no brainer!!! Please be aware of the times scale if coming to Perth as the quarantine centre is small here compared to Sydney......... Nikki. X

ACT Canberra PIO Meet up - May 15th

Hi All, Well now that i'm in Australia I think it's only right that I organise a meet up for all us ACT Poms! The first meet up i'm arranging is for Saturday 15th May - now i'm still new to Canberra (only been here 2 days) so i'm not sure where the best place is to go. I know when my parents got here they went to the George Harcourt Pub for a Poms meet up and said it was nice so maybe we could go there. There are some nice boutiquey shops there too so could be a nice day out for some of you newer Canberra Poms! I'm guessing some of you have kids so lets stick with an afternoon meet up I suggest 1pm? If you can attend please reply to this thread with how many people you believe will be attending so I can pre-book at the pub. If you have any other suggestions of places to go or preferred times please let me know and I can message everyone if anything changes to the above. When details are final I will PM everyone so you get a reminder Thanks Squem :wubclub: Address for George Harcourt: 3 Gold Creek Road Nicholls 2913
  6. The Venue Manager.....he say YES!!!!! So if you are looking for a place to have a PINT or HALF or glass of wine for the ladies....look no further than the Pig n Whistle, Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore. I will be there, I hope to see you there too, with FULL SOUND COMMENTARY, LIVE on the BIG SCREEN..... Come One come All* for the last game shown before our boys head out for the FIFA World Cup. Will Chelsea do the double? Or will Pompy rise to the occassion? Who knows, but on thing is for sure.......get to the only British Pub on the Sunshine Coast nice n early to secure your PREMIER seat! See ya there, Nat  *strictly 18+'s only

  13. A new SOL has been signed by the Minister on 9th April 2009 effective 15th May 2009. I have gone through quickly and I can see no additional occupations nor any taken off nor any changes in points for an occupation. The only change I can see is that now VETASSESS and TRA are Relevant assessing authorities for non-Recignised companies. This means that if you are not resident in UK, India, Philippines, South Africa or Sri Lanka, you have the choice of TRA or VETASSESS for your skills assessment. This gives residents of other countries the choice for those few trades that VETASSESS handle between an RTO workplace assessment or travelling to another country where VETASSESS are holding their assessments. Regards

Hi, My online app status shows that my meds were received at 15th May 2008 and its been more than a month but the status still says "Health requirements outstanding". i had front-loaded the meds and i am from a high risk country. So how long does it take the meds status changed from "Health requirements outstanding" to "Health requirements finalized"??? Is it changed with the CO is assigned or it does not have to do anything with the CO?? Any April applicant who had front-loaded the meds???? thanks.

  21. Just wondering if anybody has been invited to attend the Skills Expo in London on 15th and 16th March? My wife filled in her application form weeks ago, and with her being a nurse and on the skills in demand list we'd assumed that she would have been invited to go along but we haven't heard a thing back from them  Does anybody know what the score is? How long in advance they let you know? Or have any contact details for the event so that we can chase things up? Thanks, Tony
