hi, i,m looking for a bit of advice/ information..... does anyone know about a company trade train ? we were just looking into the AQF 111 for chefs and apparently you would only require 4 not 5 years exp to make yourself eligible for the tra assessment, many thanks in advance if you could shed any light on costs and how it all works karen
  2. Hi there, I have just returned from a week in Perth where I have completed the AQF 111 Solid Plastering. I did the course with Silver Trowel in Perth and I would definitely reccommend them to anyone thinking of doing it. It actually worked out cheaper to fly over and do the course in Perth than to do it here in the UK. Plastering in Australia is very different to here in the UK and if anyone is planning to do the course and would like any information about it then feel free to get in touch. Wal

    AQF 111 Solid Plastering!!

Hi, I found a post about the above from walthepasterer from a year ago but my attempts to follow up have not been successful. It's to do with a course in Solid Plastering at the Silver Trowel in Perth and I'm keen to know how valuable this course is viewed in the UK, if the experience will help my son apply for imigration in Aus and if there are any problems doing this course on a tourist visa? He's in Perth at the moment, will probably be coming home at the end of January but really wants to stay in Aus permanently. He's done plaserting in Perth, the course may help him with visa points etc.. Anyone know? Kymosabi
  7. Hi, This is my first post although have been reading on and off for the past year. My OH is a fitter with 6 years workplace experience. We are thinking of applying under Pathway E and obtaining AQF III - thru master builders but unsure if this would meet the TRA's CRICOS requirement. Does anyone know if AQF 111 issued by Master Builders is acceptable to TRA? Thanks for any help you can give.:spinny:

    Hairdressing AQF 111

Hi I am a hairdresser who mislaid their Apprenticeship Papers. I have started to collate all the information required for the TRA, but have also been advised from the Agent today that AQF 111 route might be a better route. (As I was not informed correctly from the 1st Agent). I have been on the web, but have not been able to find anything towards this certificate, and wondered if anyone on this site might have taken this route to get into oz. Any information given would be greatfully received.

    Aqf 111

hi guys , I would just like to post a note regarding the AQF 111 I have just completed with Australian Trade Assessments , I am a suspended ceiling fixer ( fibrous plasterer ) and due to the pathway D debacle I found myself having to get this extra qualification , everyone at ATA made the whole process as painless as possible and completed my assessment in record time , Renna`e who works in the office has been a real help answering my questions and generally putting up with me , if any of you are after an AQF 111 dont hesitate to use Australian Trade Assessments

    aqf 111

  13. Hi there, I am planning to fly over to Perth to do the AQF 111 qualification in Solid Plastering in the next couple of weeks. Can anyone confirm that I can do this on the 3 month tourist visa? My understanding of the 3 month ETA is that you cannot engage in studies or training for longer than 3 months, as the course I will be doing is only 2 days long I pressume this will be fine but I don't want to fly over to then be told I can't do the course because I am on the wrong visa. I would really appreciate if someone could advise on this one!! Also, has anybody else done the AQF 111 solid plastering and how did you find it?

    AQF 111 certificate ??

Are ACTS the only people to use to get an AQF 111 cert. ? (in painting and decorating) I know a few people on here have used them and have been happy with them, but they are quite expensive, and any chance to save a few quid would be nice. Does anyone know of any others and any experience of them ?? Thanks in advance

    aqf 111 for roofer

hi all , i'm early days as far as getting everything together for a skilled visa but spoke to my agent and he says that i can either be assessed here for £2000 or go to perth and be assessed there for $1500 as i dont have any qualifications only work experience, my mate lives in perth so this sounds like a good idea, just wondering if anyone on here as been over to perth and done it for roofing or any other trade, also has anyone been refused ? got to wait to see if reopen pathway d or whatever it is in july before i start parting with my brass though... so many hurdles to overcome its doing my head in....:arghh:
