    Welfare Worker

Hi, I'm looking for some more advice, I have been speaking to a Migration Agent and they have pointed me in the way of welfare worker. I work as a Senior Residential Officer ( I manage a care home for adults with learning disabilities) I have a NVQ level 4 in health and social care ( which is the same as a AQF advanced diploma) I am wondering if anyone has been successful in applying on this visa, I know that I would pass skills assesssment as my qualification is enough, I am worried that my experience is not enough as I am not a welfare worker or social worker although I have a wide range of experiences in social care. Any guidance would be much appreciated Degs

  6. Sounds like good news...... Australia seeks skilled workers Australia is to admit more skilled migrant workers to help ease its labour shortage while cracking down on firms which mistreat foreign staff. An extra 5,000 places for skilled migrants were unveiled by ministers as part of the government's annual budget. New powers are also being sought to fine firms which underpay workers or place them in unskilled jobs. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6634497.stm
  7. Hello, My husband and I are hoping to emigrate to oz in two years time. I am a nurse and a midwife so believe that work should not be too hard to come by. My husband has spent the last 10 years working in residential care, with adults with learning disabilities and over the last 7 years, children between the ages of 11 -17, mainly with social or behavioural problems. Is there much call for this type of work? Does anyone have any ideas of where we can start the search for jobs in this area?????? many thanks. :?

    Skilled Worker Migration

If one partner applies for skilled Worker MIgration, can the family go in on his Visa? This may sound stupid - but I am getting blinded by all of the info around. When applying (not through a migrant agency) - are the charges per person (whether going for a visa or not) i.e. wife, children (both under 16)?
