She is 50 yrs old (this month) and in top condition for her year, lol. accessories include 3 grown up kids, 2 kid in laws, 5 grandkids. And 1 very lovely 9 year old Daughter. YOU MUST have a very good sense of humour. Rich would be good but certainly not a neccessity, average age 45 if a bit younger to pass skills assessment thats fine. If you want some company on your adventure and would like to help then look no further!!!! We are lovely family honest and would just like to try and go to oz together.

    Migration Expert Wanted!!!

Hi, We are currently trying to migrate and everytime we think we are getting there we hit a brickwall. Unfortuately like a lot of yours, ours is a complicated case and therefore we are looking for a personal migration expert in the Midlands area of the UK. We feel that personal touch is important i.e.face to face, telephone conversations as opposed to going to and fro on the computer. Has anyone got any suggestions. Thank you Molloys

    Fitter Job Wanted

Hi, just wondering if anyone knows of any fitter jobs available in the Rockingham area, my husband is fed up with agency work! Please help, thanks.
  11. Hi everyone, I was just interested in what made you say those all important words "shall we emigrate?" and how long had you been talking about it before you actually started the process. I have been to Australia 3 times and although loved it, never thought of actually moving. Then I went to florida with my OH and 2 kids and when I got back I felt everything was so small and cramped in the UK. We came back in November so it was also freezing - I just got sick of wrapping the kids up to walk that 10 minutes to school, everyday my daughter would cry because she was so cold. It frustrated me so much but I put it down to holiday blues. The problem was the rain didn't stop and the shops got busier and to entertain the kids costs a fortune......that niggly little thought never went away, until one day I spoke to my husband who was ok with the idea even tho it meant leaving all his family, but as time went on and we researched a bit more he now thinks it is the best option for us and our kids. I then said to my sister about moving to Oz and she said, pack your bags - we are coming too. For for me it has only been 4 months, doesn't seem long enough really does it?
  12. To anybody living on the Gold Coast - if anybody knows of a room to rent or have a room to rent out please let me know. My circumstances have changed and I'm now looking for a new place to live. Must be on the Gold Coast though as this is where I work Cheers.:goofy:

    Just wanted to say hi...

Hi all - we have been montoring this site for a while now and just wanted to say how useful and comforting it has been to read how others have been going through the same process as us? We are applying for 136 Skilled Visa. We are currently in the process of waiting for our Police Checks to be returned - we are on day 22? Everyday I go to the post box to see if Postman Pat has delivered but come away disappointed. Its seems by reading past threads that it usually takes the full 40 days. After that does anyone know how long it takes to receive an decision after the PC have been sent? Also is it ok to scan a copy of the Police Checks or do we need to send the orginals? Our medicals have been couried to Syndey. Looking forward to your replies... Bruce and Sheila

    Wanted Down Under - Melbourne

Hi folks Does anyone know why the BBC Wanted Down Under series didn't move anyone to Melbourne?
  16. I've looked on BBC listings for next week and the programme each day is about:- Monday - the Talbot family Tuesday - Paul Larner Wednesday - the Booton family in Adelaide Thursday - Paul Larner Friday - the Dixon family It's on BBC 1 each day at 9.15 until 10am - must set the video! Regards Donna
  17. Hi We're arriving in 4 weeks for our reccie. Getting really excited to see the promised land but getting nervous on how to cope with the flight and jet lag with a 6 month old baby and 3 year old. We're flying with Emirates with a short stop in Dubai. I'd be really grateful if anyone could answer a couple of questions. 1. What are the rules on taking baby formula on the plane? Will I be able to take 24 hours worth of formula with me? My baby is lactose intolerant so I have to take special formula with me. 2. Regarding jet lag. Is it best to start adjusting the kids to the new time on the flight or as soon as we arrive or is it best to do it gradually over a couple of days. We're only going to be in Australia for 2 weeks so I'm wondering whether to not bother adjusting too much and have them awake in the afternoon and evenings and sleep all morning. Thanks in advance for any advice. Regards Gail
  18. Hi guy's, We were wondering if anyone had any info relating to the agents used in the show on BBC1 Wanted down Under?? The show featured some great properties in 2 cities we are interested in setting up, Brisbane and Adelaide but no name or credits were given to the agents either during the show or in the titles. I sent 2 E-mails to the BBC but got no reply. We're off to Aus in April, and it would be great to see if those houses they featured are true or not, so far I can't find a 6 bedroom new home in Brisbane brand new of such luxury for the price shown in the series AUS$500,000. This was in the episode featuring a family in the name of Mr and Mrs Warner, the lady was a teacher, seemed a really nice family. Who is the agent, in the film the guy was a grey haired fella in his 50's, and I would sure like to meet him. Any help or info would be great

    are we wanted

Hi everyone, just found this site, it's fantastic and very addictive - I've read something new everyday. I'm still very confused about all the different visa options ? I was wondering if anyone could help with any advice before we start spending any money & being rejected. We are a family of 7, me 42, hubby 44(he is 45 in June-is this the first big NO NO) kids are twins aged 11, a 14 year old, an 18 year old-who only works weekends(so is still dependent) and a 21 year old that is doing a painting and decorating apprenticeship. I cant find OH occupation on any skills lists(another problem) He has 20 years experience & CITB certs for excavating machinery HGV class1, certs for crawler cranes and truck mounted cranes and NVQ3 in demolition managment. Does anyone think there is a chance !!! If so could he earn a good enough wage as we would still need a mortgage, I would want to work also-20 years experience in retail. Thanks alot - sorry for such a lengthy first post !!!
