  2. My husband and I (along with children) are very keen to emigrate to Australia from Northern Ireland. We have looked at the independent skilled migration visa and my job is on the list - Primary Health Organisation Manager. I am a GP practice manager with 5 years experience, 31 years old and have recently graduated with a level 5 diploma in primary health management. When I completed the VETASSESS application, it has been returned as a negative outcome as it says I need a bachelors degree. My husband is 41 years old and is a Scaffolder (owns his own company). He is also an Irish league footballer and is due to complete his UEFA coaching badges this month to open more avenues if possible. I am also a part time singer and own a well established wedding band in Northern Ireland and as a couple, we lease a pub/restaurant so we both have experience in this industry too. We don’t know what other avenue we can go down now that the VETASSESS has failed. Any advice would be great.
  3. Hi all, I saw on vetassess website following. Licensed Trades - 6 years' employment experience (with no formal training) Licensed Trades - 4 years' employment experience (with relevant formal training) Can anyone pls tell me if the formal training is your academic qualifications (Diploma or Degree) ? Or formal training is a separate training done after Diploma or Degree? Thank you
  4. I have done bachelor's of civil engineering from pakistan. Then I did my msc construction management from Australia. I have no relevant visa. Should I get my skills assessed from engineer Australia or Vetassess.
  5. Hi All... I am new in this forum, By Feb 2013 we got positive assessment on 511112: Program or Project Administrator category from Vetassess. they assess 2 years of relevant job experience and one Bachelor Hons Degree and AQF Post Graduate Diploma. That time we didnt apply for EOI , now want to apply for EOI. Assessment has expired , need to renew with addition job years and employers. I Login to vetassess web account, but there is no option to apply for Renewal - expired skills assessment. Anyone here who did this before or can help me or guide me regarding this issue. Thanks.
  6. Hello forum members, I have been following this forum for a while. Thanks a lot for all the informative info. I have a question about Vetasses skill assessment for work experience while studying, if anyone could please take the time and answer I would really appreciate. I am looking to apply for skill assessment with Internal Auditor which falls under Group A and requires a minimum 1 year of post qualification work experience. I have been working as an Internal Auditor since 2012 to date. However, I completed my bachelors on December of 2017. I continued my work while I was studying full time from 2014 to 2017. I am still employed as an audit officer with the same company. So my question is will Vetasses only count my work experience after graduating from Uni or will my work experience before and while studying be counted too? A break down- working as internal auditor with the same company from 2012 till date. 2014-2017 studying at uni while working at the same time. 2018- to date still employed with the same company under the same occupation (Audit officer). Please let me know. Thanks
  7. 1) My first query is that I want to apply for VETASSESS skill assessment for Job Code 149212 - Customer Service Manager for sub-class 489 Visa but unable to get roles and responsibilities letter from my employer. If I get statutory declaration written by my supervisor that is notarized from India, do I need to get it for all designations that I hold in the company since joining or only the latest one? For ex- I joined as Domain Expert Trainee and promoted to Assistant Manager (which is my current designation) after 2 years of joining. So should the Stat Dec include only Assistant Manager roles and responsibilities or both Domain Expert and Assistant Manager. If both, then should it be on one letter itself or two different letters? Also, Should the declaration include duration/tenure for both the designations? 2) My second query is that I used to work for a bank in London, UK which I have left about 5 years ago. I tried contacting bank's HR department for the roles and responsibilities letter but they denied stating they don't have any such letter to be issued as per their policy. Now, I am back in India with no contact with my supervisor or any colleagues. I do have supporting documents such as e-mail confirmation by HR that they don't provide any such letter, my appointment letter, pay slips, experience letter, relieving letter, tax statement etc. In such a scenario, should an affidavit with a self written statutory declaration about my roles and responsibilities be accepted by Vetassess? Please suggest
  8. Good Evening, Just wondering if anybody could help with the CV format required by Vetassess for the 1st part of the application. I am just editing my cv to match the relevant style of CV they want. Also, I have been working since I left school in Ref./Air con. trade but am only getting the VETASSESS assessment for the Offshore training record to make life easier on arrival to australia as my wife is the main applicant on the 189 visa. (I know this can add 5 points if needed, Hopefully not.) Should I provide evidence back to when I left school and started in the trade? or should I just cover the minimum 5 years with my current employer for a positive result? Any help is appreciated. Thanks Eddie
  9. To all the hairdressers out there please help. Ever since starting to apply for our 190 state notminated skilled visa for NT. All I have been thinking about is the practical test and it is stressing me out think because it is all on me can’t sleep it’s going over in my head trying to think what to expect I’v been self employed 12 years and never really done any tests apart from the odd course I have been doing mostly beauty for the last 6 years however to get in I have to use my hairdressing qualifications. I am waiting to here back after submitting paper work then on to the dreaded practical if I pass after paper work part. I’m already going over hairdressing to refresh my memory. Can anyone give me any advice on the practical? Did anyone get the questions below these are what I’m going to be asked about? Also I’v never done chemical straightening I have done it in salon but not qualified I also have done barbering but only basics on beards and moustaches. So I am now panicking I’m going to fail on this part. Anyone else been in this dilemma? I have read some previous threads but we’re off a little while ago so I’m looking for advise on more recent please. Wish it was a practical would be so much easier.
  10. Hi, I am just after some guidance around the occupation Program/Project Administrator (ANZSCO Code 511112). Has anyone received a positive outcome from VETASSESS for this occupation? I have the experience in this field, working as a Project Manager however I am unsure if my Australian qualification: Bachelor of Commerce (Major in Finance and Macroeconomics) will be assessed as positive. I did undertake Management units in HR, Strategic Management, Management Ethics & Corporate Governance and the list goes on, but just not sure if my qualification will be assessed as 'highly relevant'. Appreciate any assistance on this! Cheers, Nate

    Management consutant

Hi guys, I was just wondering if someone has applied for Management consultant assessement from Vetassess. As i am going to apply but really confused whether i wilk get positive assessment or not. I have done my MBA in management from australia after my bachelor's from overseas. I also worked as closed to project management position for about year. Will this be enough to get possitive assessment based on just 1year of experience??
  12. I got positive assessment from VETASSESS. I have been working for the occupation for 3.5 yrs, however VETASSESS deducted 2 years so Number of years assessed positively: 1.5 How should I put work experience in EOI? Should I or shouldn't I include those 2 years deducted. (EOI asks to state starting date. if I ignore those 2 years that means starting date is 2 years later than reality??) Please help. Thank you.
  13. Hi, I have techincal interview with vetassess coming soon for Asian cookery. I have searched virtually everywhere on the internet and have not found anything relevant. Can someone please advice about the kind of questions they ask? Any help will be appreciated.
  14. hi guys, have anyone done their skill assessment by vettassess?? is vettassess officer really call the employer for refference check? and what they ask for. Im gonna do my restaurant manager experience assessment.
  15. When i started my career i had only 12 Grade College Certificate. I am a self-taught guy and I have 15 Years of experience in Application Development, and I recently completed my “Associate Degree in Web Design and Development” which is equivalent to AQF Diploma 10 points, my confusion is if I go with RPL route with “No Tertiary Education” am I going to get 10 points for my post experience Education which I completed recently? Because if i am not eligible to claim my recently awarded degree points than in that case my points will drop down to 65 which are not sufficient i guess. I have read in other posts that people who got their degrees prior to their professional experience but insufficient relevant content they went for a points test advice from Vetassess, and they claimed their education points. But my case is different because i recently completed my degree. Please advise
  16. Hi there, I am very disappointed by the negative outcome. Did anyone here got their negative outcome and got positive from re-assessment? Please help. My question is: what is the best way to position this in the reassessment application? I'm afraid it would seem fishy if I provide another job description that goes into further details of the required tasks. I actually have a solid argument as I actually perform most of the tasks that ANZSCO required. I'm just not sure what's the best way to approach this. what are the additional documents that strong enough to support?
  17. Hi, I have a question about the company reference letter for skill assessment. My situation is my offical job duties from HR will not exactly match with ANCSCO, so I request HR not to include the job description in the letter (but all others information that VET require are included) and I will ask my direct supervisor to sign another letter regarding my job duties on it, heres my questions: 1) Do I need to write this letter in statutory declaration format or just another company reference letter signed by my supervisor? 2) Do I need to give reason to VET about why my job duties did not included in the reference letter by HR? 3) I working in the same company for over 10 years but my direct supervisor now I am working with is only 2 years, is it a problem to recognise my past experience by him? Thank yo so much for the help and I will be very appreciated if anyone could give me an advise to solve this problem.
  18. Hi All, I'm applying for a 189 PR visa as a chef. Got my technical interview coming up on the 9th May and am terrified! I know my stuff but am AWFUL at interview type situations and am worried i'm just going to clam up and struggle with it. For the ILETS test at least there are samples online, but for the technical interview I can't find anything at all. Does anyone have any experience of this they'd care to share? Just what sort of areas are covered, what they ask, the format of the interview etc? Is it recipe stuff, eg how to bake a loaf of bread,or more the admin/healthand safety/staffing side of it? I know it's 2-3 hours and that's about it! Thanks to anyone who can shed any light at all!
  19. Hi all, OK first post... hopefully someone can help me out and maybe put my mind at rest (or not). Im a mechanic, 28, with qualifications and experience (NVQ LV3), i gained my qualifications 7 years ago. Im applying for permanent residency soon and my main concern is with the vetassess interview via video call, i would really like to hear from people that have experienced this part of the process. I know myself i'm capable of doing my job but with it being years ago that i was last trained, and often rarely encountering some of the aspects of what i was originally trained in day-to-day, i'm worried what they will ask me and whether i will have the correct answers for them to pass! I am worried mainly about questions on testing electronics, auto gearboxes... areas that i haven't had much to do with, things that i know i could repair but still i'm worried about answering questions on them. i have read a couple of threads on a similar topic but the only answers i came across was people saying 'don't worry, its not actually that bad'........... i'm still worrying! lol I guess i would love to hear from someone who has done the interview as part of there process and to explain what it was like in a bit more detail... Is it hard?! What sort of questions would they ask? How in-depth do they expect you to go? How would they ask them? Is it more of a conversation than a test? How long dose it take? How would you recommend i prepare? Im not trying to worry too much but it just feels to me like this would be the deal breaker of the whole application! :arghh: If anyone feels like they could help me out, it would be much appreciated! Thanks, Mark
  20. Dear All, Any idea on under which skill of SOL for Australian PR does experince in Pharmacovigilance/Drug Safety could fall under ??? #pharmocovigilance # drug Safety.
  21. Hi all, I am currently trying to send my evidence and documents over to vetassess for the first part of my skill select. I currently have the evidence set up in a PowerPoint presentation... Is this the way any of you would recommend or is there another way someone could suggest??? is the uploading prices of the documents and evidence simple?? Thanks in advance.
  22. I have a qualification as Civil Engineer Technician from 2000. I worked in this field in 2001 for 6 months, then changed career and got a bachelor degree in 2005. From 2004 to 2016 I worked most of the time in business related subjects (only one year - 2010 - in construction) and from 2017 (one year so far) again as Civil Engineer Technician. Going by what I found in VETASSESS documents, Civil Engineer Technician is in group C, so "Qualification(s) assessed at least AQF Diploma level with a highly relevant field of study and at least one year of post-qualification highly relevant employment at an appropriate skill level completed in the last five years". So it seems that I can be assessed positively. But I am not sure how VETASSESS will see this period of 16 years in a different field. Is it possible that they will disregard my degree? If anyone has seen some similar case, please comment. Thanks.
