hi, I am a 40 year old experienced Wall and Floor Tiler needing sponsorship. We are looking to relocate to Queensland, Townsville . Experienced in ceramic, porcelain, slate, natural stone and marble tiles etc, domestic, large contract jobs and working with house builders, with very good references. I also have a NVQ II in Tiling, with all relevant documentation. Looking forward to receiving some positive replies, name and address of contact details of any employers would be great. DET WA sponsorship

Hello evryone! This is my very first post, as I'm very excited about the great news I received yesterday and I thought who better to share it with than the jolly folks on PIO. The great news is that I received an email from the Department of Education and Training offering me a teaching post starting Jan '09!!!:jiggy: As you may have guessed, I'm extremely happy, and would love to hera from anyone who was sponsored by the DET in WA...Tell me ALL about your teaching job, what the school/pupils are like, did you get susidised acommodation, whta's that like. Did you or DET decide which area you were posted to work? And any other info you may care to share would be greatly appreciated. Ta for now:wideeyed:
  9. Hi i have been a scaffolder for 16yrs working in the uk on power stations and high profile jobs also in russia on a gas installation Plz could u help me find employment with a view to live in oz:yes:
  10. Can anyone please tell me if I'm right in thinking that SA and Tas states sometimes offer sponsorship to people who don't necessarily meet all the usual criteria. OH is a printer/supervisor with years of experience and certificates in Health and Safety and Supervising but nothing specific to printing, hence our dilema. I'm sure I've read somewhere that SA and Tas are keen to attract migrants because of lower population than other states. Our only other option is employer sponsored, which leads me to another question! Any advice on how to start a letter to employers begging for sponsorship :biglaugh: Many thanks, Nemo

    Form 40SP - Spouse Sponsorship

Hi I am sponsoring my husband to enter Australia. The form 40SP seems very geared towards the sponsor living in Australia at the time of the application being made. We are both currently living in the UK and I do not intend to return to Australia until my husband receives approval to go as well. My concern is that if I am not living in Australia at the time I send the application could this hinder his application? Would appreciate any advice anyone can give us. Thanks C Hunter
  15. Hello everyone on POI This is my first message, please bear with me. Although I've been reading the site for the last year, it's kept me going whilst I finished my degree. (got 1st Hons in Applied Social Studies, added this, but don't know if relevant) My situation: 39 year old Mum of daughter aged 6, lone parent and I've just started my PGCE (General) Primary at University of Bedfordshire, and was wondering if anyone could give me a little advice please. I plan to apply for a 457 sponsorship to teach in Western Australia, (my dream since a little girl) and I dread becoming a member of the whatif club. We wont be coming with much money, probably £2000 at the most, we do know a couple of people in Perth, but obviously it's a big place, and we haven't seen them for a while. Basically, sorry I think I am rambling on a bit now, I am trying to find out if I can apply whilst I am still on my PGCE, or do I have to have finished it first. Any advice would be very gratefully received. Thankyou Rachel
  16. hi there, i am a qualified carpenter/joiner with about 20 years experience can anyone tell me how or where to start with getting sponsored?
  17. Hi, I have just sent in my spouse visa application (15th Sept 08) and the money has been taken (16th Sept 08). I am trying not to worry but my concern is that my OH is sponsoring me and has never lived in Oz, he is a full citizen by birth and holds a passport. His father runs his own business in Oz and has sent company letters stating that my OH will be employed on his arrival in Oz and and his income and also that I will have a job open for me if I want it. Has anybody else been in this situation and if so what happened? We also have a four year old and have applied for her citizenship through her dad the application was sent 4th Sept and payment taken 5th Sept but nothing in the post so far. Do I need to send her details with my visa application? We have completed the paperwork on our own and the application was as detailed as we could make it, police check, letters from 1998 onwards, bank statements and pay slips Sorry for so many questions, just feel a little bit sick with worry. Any advice on timelines and what to expect next would be gratefully received. Kelly, Scott and Jess

    Sponsorship ??

Hi, We were just after a bit of advise on sponsorship really. My husband and I are desperate to get out to Australia, he is a fully qualified joiner and his skill is on the demand list. We were wondering how hard it is to get sponsored and how you go about getting sponsored? Is there certain websites? Or do you just approach businesses? He's taken a few numbers down and intends on calling them tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed!! I'd like to thank those who take take time out to reply. Cheryl & Ste

    Still Looking For Sponsorship

Hi All, My wife and I are still looking for company sponsorship to enable us to make the dream move to OZ, I have family in Sydney so that would be our preferred destination although we would look at anywhere as long as it is in Oz!! I am an experienced team leader of 4 years with one of Europes largest energy companies and my wife is a experienced PA with a world wide company, we don't quite qualify for enough points to enable us to get a permanent visa (no degree) so company sponsorship is our preferred option rather than retrain!! Is there anyone on here who is looking for either a experienced PA or Team Leader in Oz? or does anyone know of any companies looking for either of these fields of expertise willing to sponsor?? Thanks in advance Shane and Ali
  22. Hello everyone, Its so nice that everyone is so friendly and helpful on this site. My question is; We are applying for state sponsorship to bump up our points (i think its a 175 visa, my oh is a hairdresser). we are looking to go to queensland (Brissie if pos) but they are not doing sponorship for hairdressers:cry:. We have been told that we can apply for sponsorship to another state, and when our visa is granted, we can 'change' our minds and go and live in whatever state we want. The government would let us live in a different state to the one we originally applied for. we thought this was a bit weird and thought whats the point of state sponsorship in the first place? Has anyone come across this problem or been told similar things by an agent? I would be grateful for any responses. Thanks so much, tumblealot x
  23. Hi all... Does anyone know of a hospital near or in Brisbane (including sunshine and gold coasts etc.) that would offer sponsorship to a midwife coming from the U.K. other than the Mater Mothers hospital, which I have already found successfully? Any details of such hospitals and/or experiences of midwife migrants in or near Brisbane would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the help...
  24. Hi, We can now at last get our visa application in and start the long wait! Queensland State Sponsorship approved today:jiggy: Yvonne and Andy
