    Primary schools Hampton

Hi we are moving to melbourne in august and fancy settling in Hampton. From the web, it would seem there are only two schools in hampton, hampton primary and st mary's . Is this correct? Does that mean if you want a non catholic education then Hampton PS is your only option? Confused!

    Primary Schools

  3. Hey, I'm making the move to Perth in december, starting out on a working visa. First off, how easy is applying for tax file code and setting up the right back account? I looked at starter packages but not sure if they are money schemes. Also I am a nearly qualified primary teacher, how easy is it to get employed in this and do you need honours or to have sat your probation year to be employed? Thank you in advance. Oh and also does anyone know any good rental websites for perth? I tried realestate.au already. Amanda

  7. Hi there; I am about to apply for the 175 Migrant Visa as a Secondary teacher. In the application under previous Australian work experience it asks to list work experience that is closely related to nominated occupation. I worked for just over a year as a Primary School teacher in Oz..... do you think that would be considered as closely related? Thanks

  9. Please can anyone recommend government primary schools in Inner city Melbourne and Camberwell areas - basically up to 10K radius of CBD We are moving to Melbourne soon and I want to make sure we get a nice school with a good reputation. Poor boy has only just started his current school (may) and loves it I want to settle him as soon as possible. :jiggy: Any thoughts appreciated.
  10. Hi, I wondered if anyone would be able to help me.... We are relocating from Melbourne to Perth at the end of the year. We are looking to settle in the Hillarys, Sorrento area. I have spoken to both primary schools, both of which were very helpful and friendly. I know both have catchment areas. Basically the school we choose will therefore determine where we live. Does anyone know what sort of reputations these schools have, or schools in surrounding neighbourhoods? Do any of you have kids in these schools? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. Rach :wubclub:

  13. Hi My family are looking to move to the Sandringham area at the start of august. I have a 3 year old daughter that i am looking to get into a local kindy, although from what i have been reading there may be a wait. Is this wait likely to be on government funded Kindys only. WOUld anyone recommend any good kindys in the sandringham/hampton/brighton area. I also would want to consider the kindy being a feeder to a primary school and could anyone recommend good primary schools, goverment or private in this area? Thanks.

    Primary Schools in Canberra

Hi, We're trying to filter down some of the primary schools in Canberra that we should contact about possible schooling for our daughter who is currently 5. We are looking at areas to live around the Belconnen area, so would appreciate some possible schools we should contact. As our daughters schooling is a priority, we would also appreciate some thoughts on other good schools in Canberra as if there are some good ones in different areas, we can always look to buy in that area. Thanks, Richard
  19. Hi, we are moving to the area later this year and I am still debating whether to send my then 6 year old son private or state? Is it worth the money to send them to the private schools? Also, am I right in thinking that if they go to Catholic schools they do not have to live in that particular suburb unlike the state schools? I am considering sending him to St Bernadettes - does anyone have children who go there? If so what is it like? Any information advice would be much appreciated. How does it compare with Star of the Sea in Rockingham? I looked at that school when we came over last August but to be honest, I was not overly impressed. Any advice on the primary schools in Waikiki, Warnbro, Port Kennedy etc. would be fantastic! Thanks Francine x

    Primary Schools in Melbourne's suburbs?

:cute:Hi there all... We have been happily living on the Gold Coast for 2.5 years, and have just received the news that my husband's new promotion means we will be living in VIC from the end of the month! We need to find a fabulous State Primary School... boys are 6 and 11. The area needs to be pleasant, with things to do, and access to my husband's region - which is : Melton South / Melton West / Caroline Springs / Cairnlea / Deer Park / Derrimut Village / Burnside / Ardeer / Sydenham We need him to be able to get to and from these places, but without living in them. Any recommendations would be gratefully received.... we currently feel like we have no clue where to begin looking, and are on a flight down there shortly! A full removals package means we don't have the hassle of selling our house ~ which is fabulous........! Take care and thanks everyone x :notworthy:
  22. My husband is struggling to find (decent) work where we live now and may (???) have the option of a job elsewhere! If my husband (who is currently the secondary holder on our 457) found a company that could sponsor him could he be transferred as the primary holder on our current one or we would we need to apply from scratch as it would be for a completely different job? The guidance states that 457 visa holders who want to change sponsors or nominated positions (within the validity of their current visa) will not be required to apply for a new Subclass 457 visa.....guessing that would only apply to main holder?
  23. Hi, I'm after some advice if there is anyone who can help? I emigrated to perth back in Sept 2009..all done good job.. My half sister back in the UK wants to emmigate, she is 25 and has a degree and is a primary school teacher. she makes 120 points I reckon and will do the IELTS if needs be. She has been told today the only way she will get in is on a sponsored visa and the only place available to her is South Australia? I thought she would be able to apply to come to WA on an skilled independant visa 175, but I can't see Primary School teacher on the SOL? Surely not? She said she has been working in the UK as a Reception Teacher which is a Pre Primary Teacher in Australia. Could she apply for an off list nomination to WA? Please can anyone help if they have any information as I'm starting to get confused. Thanks for your help Rebecca

  25. Hi, My spouse and I are holders of a Skilled Recognized Graduate visa (Subclass 476). I was a primary applicant and my spouse is included in this visa as secondary applicant. My spouse satisfies all criteria for applying for a Skilled Permanent Residence Visa (Subclass 885) as a primary applicant and has all supporting documents for that. We plan to apply for this visa immediately upon arrival to Australia but I am not sure whether she is eligible or not to apply as a primary applicant onshore. In this respect I kindly request you to advise whether a secondary holder of Subclass 476 Visa is eligible to apply as primary applicant for Permanent Residency onshore as a primary applicant. Thanks
