Can anyone help? We have now had three companies round to quote for our shipping costs. All quotes were fairly similar so not much to go on with that. Have heard everyone raving about Crown but I didnt like their representative who came round to the house - too much like a sales person and slagging off the other companies who I had been in touch with. So I dont really want to go with them. Really liked Allied Pickfords rep so thinking of going with them but are we right to make a decision on this basis?!!! Both companies are also based in Sydney aswell as here in England. Any advice would be great - thanks!!! :unsure:

Hi Anyone used Allied Pickfords for their removals? They seem quite thorough. Paperwork seems extensive, maybe not as bad as visa application though! Are they helpful? We have Crown coming today to quote, so will update you on them too. Thanks Mazza:err:

Hi All We have had quotes from removal companies and it has come down to a choice between two. They both sound very good and I am finding it hard to decide which one to go with. Has anyone had any experience of either of these. Thanks Jo

We have narrowed our choice of removals firms down to PSS or Allied. Both seem to provide a good service and prices are not too different. Can anyone recommend either - or maybe tell us a reason not to use either??? We really need to get sorted so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Everyone, Just a quick post to say that we used Pickfords International to move to Oz and they were brilliant. Quote was in line with everyone else and the guys who packed in the UK and unpacked in Oz were brilliant, friendly and polite and really efficient. Can't recommend then highly enough. Small portable TV's don't work as a TV over here, no sound, if it's part of a TV/Video package then it will still work just to watch video's only so still bring them, cheaper than buying a new one for the moment! We had to get a set top box for one of our tv's as we couldn't tune in. It's a bit of pot luck on some things. Jackie Cornish
