  1. Hi, we have just got the results for our familys medicals and my wife's has been classified as B. She had post natal depression 15 years ago and had a small bout of depression 2 years ago. Neither was referred to a specialist and both times she recovered after a couple of months on a low dose of anti-depressant. Will this be a problem for our migration or will it delay the visa grant. Hardly seemed worth mentioning, but she was completely honest with the panel doctor. Help and reassurance please !!! Tony

    UK Panel Doctors under review

Hi, I've done a search but can't find this anywhere so apologies if it's already been posted. I've just been having a nosey at the other panel doctors on the DIAC website and it now states: 'The United Kingdom and Ireland medical panel are currently under review. Please ensure you check doctor details close to the date of your intended appointment as changes may have been made and previously listed clinics may no longer be available. Failure to attend a formal clinic may result in you being requested to repeat your medical examination.' http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/overseas/u/united-kingdom/panel-doctors.htm I don't remember seeing this when I was booking our medicals at the end of May, does anyone know why this is or when it's likely to change? It'll be just my luck that they change it just as we are about to go for ours! Cheers Clare x P.S i'm computer illiterate - if the link doesn't work!
  6. Hi Everyone, Another question for your perusal please!?! Daughter needs a medical. When we had ours there was a panel doctor 20 miles away. Looking on the Panel Doc list there now appears to be only one for the entire south east!?!?!? Is that right and how long is that gonna take? Further advice on getting through this apprciated! Cheers, Steve.

47sp visa - panel of doctors

hi all , new poster here. I am a dual national British born, Australian naturalised and passport holder. We live in Belfast. i wish to take my wife with me to australia, i have read through the panel of doctors, there is no one based in Northern Ireland !! Does this means that i have to travel to mainland UK to get the necessary reports ??? Does anyone know can i go to a doctor in Dublin (ROI) instead, as this would be less hassle and less of a cost. What kind of cost would i expect to pay in Dublin or mainland UK ? Thanks in Advance S

    panel beaters

Hi are there any Panel beaters on here? We are thinking about moving to England (Liverpool/North-west) for a year or two. My husband is a panel beater by trade (but we have our own sandblasting and spray-painting business in oz). Are there many jobs around for panel beaters? Do most jobs get advertised online? or papers? We assume we would have to move then my husband just look for a job once there, but we are a bit worried that there isn't any in the area we want. My husband is Aussie and I have been living here for 7 years so we are unsure how hard it would be to find a panel beating job (or sandblasting) over there. any info will be appriciated, thank you (on a side note, any one know what visa my husband would go on? a partner visa? or work visa? I have no idea! :wubclub:)

Panel Beater AQF3 (AQFIII) Recommend company

I have just completed my AQFIII for Panel Beating, it was very easy to do.... Australian Skill Assessment dealt with it for me. I live in Ireland at the moment but without a qualification i was stuffed, so Australian Migrations (Kildare and Brisbane) put me in touch with Australian Skill Assessment company who done the rest for me.... I will not lie to you there was alot of paperwork to prove my competency and nearly 4hrs of a Web Interview at 5am Ireland time, but overall was worth it. Totally recommend them!! ATA is OK for UK and Ireland but if your going to OZ then what better than to have an Oz qualification. Was cheaper too, not by much, but save where you can........ 22. Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice please. Let me explain my circumstances... Last year i went to Australia on a tourist visa for 6 months to see if i wanted to emigrate with my then partner who was Australian. We had already started the process of the spouse visa, and enlisted the help of a migration agent. My son who is now 5 (but at the time was still 3) had been waiting to be seen by a Paediatrician in the UK for over a year (he was referred through his nursery at the time, not a doctor) so while we were in Aus, we had him seen privately by a company called ISADD who specialise in diagnosing Autism and developmental delay. We got a diagnosis of mild Autism, subject to confirmation by a Paediatrician, which we didn't have time to do before i came back to the UK. When we got our medicals done in the UK for the spouse visa (and this was before the diagnosis in Oz) the Panel Doctor didn't actually pick up there was anything wrong with my son apart from mild speech delay, and i volunteered the information about the Autistic traits. Now our migration agent told me i basically shouldn't have said anything if the doctor hadn't picked up on it, as it would cause problems with the visa. Now things didn't work out between my partner and i, but i still want to move to Oz. Our local council accepted my son into our local primary schools additional support base from the diagnosis we have, but the primary school also suggested deferring him for a year and i work with him at home (they know about me wanting to move back and think it might be more beneficial to just prepare him now, to start school in Oz next year). What i'm wondering, as there are no medical records of him having Autism here, no school statements, and as its not all that noticeable apart from his speech, would i be better working with him at home and just mentioning the speech problem to the Panel Doctor when the time comes? Or did the migration agent give me bad advice? As for visas, I have an occupation on the skills list (60 points) but not sure which visa to apply for yet, as i hear the PR ones are harder to get (i.e. more thorough!) I have about 2 weeks to decide, I'm pretty confused what i should do  Any advice you can give would be much appreciated! Claire
  23. Hi All Just wondering if anyone know s how long it takes to get the general skilled migration visa as a panel beater? 175? 176? cant remember This was lodged 15/11/08 by concept australia, this is the agent that we used. 24. HI, my patner and children had there medicals done 2 weeks ago in london. Just wondering how long it takes for the panel doctor to send them to our CO at Oz house. We have not heard anything in 2 weeks since medicals were done so just wondering what is happening??? Also when my partner lodgedher aplication, we recieved a email about 4 days later from our CO saying he was looking after our case. About 4 days later she recieved some of our docs that we sent in with her application, like evidence of our relationship (our bank statements, proof of out defactop relationship, cards that were given to us for our engagement etc) but there was no letter attached mentioning why they sent them back to her. Is this a good thing or a bad thing???? cheers
  25. Just wondering as I'm imminently due to do my medical and not sure I want to declare anything. I'm not suffering from a communicable disease (TB, HIV, HEP B or HEP C etc.) but I have a managed condition that I'm worried may prejudice the outcome of my application. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
