    Flood Fundraiser In London

    In case any UK based people fancy having a few drinks to raise money for a good cause... TNT Magazine is arranging a fundraiser event with proceeds to go to the Premier's Flood fund, helping food victims here in Australia. The event is in Shepherds Bush. Tickets are only a few quid.

Residential property listings increased in all cities during October with the market now flooded with more properties than during 2008, one expert has warned.... .....Melbourne has recorded the largest increase in property listings over the quarter, with listings jumping by 20.2% in the three months to October to a total of 26,521 houses and 9,547 units. Listings jumped by 28.6% over the year.

IMMIGRATION has held a special place in the fears of many Australians but the figures tell a different story to that told by Liberal MP Kevin Andrews. ... It was clearly Mr Andrews' intent in discussing Labour's immigration policy to play on the fears of many Australians who have been led to believe there is a flood of asylum seekers waiting to hop a boat to Australia.
  8. Just a reminder that the fires are not the only thing going on in Australia at the moment.Best wishes to anyone affected by these terrible floodwaters. TWO men and a woman have been rescued from the roof of their car after becoming stranded in north Queensland floodwaters. A State Emergency Services floodboat was used by fire crews to bring the three people to safety at about 10pm (AEDT) yesterday near Cape River, 100km south of Charters Towers. No one was injured in the incident.
