    Statutory declarations - Help!!

Please can somebody help me as I am really confused? I'm a bit dense so please be nice:unsure: We are in the process of starting application for Vetasses and have several ref's for hubby. First question is, do you have to do seperate stat dec for each period of employment where no employer ref is available, or can you put a couple on? Second question is, how far back with ref's do you have to go? Is it just the six years (applying for 175 visa - hubby is a joiner), or as far back as you can go? Problem is, hubby had about a gazzilion jobs and if we need refs for all of them Vetasses will surely get bored after the first 200 pages. Only joking about the 200 bit! Generally, how many stat decs are you allowed to include in your application? Sorry to go on but I did say I was dense. We do have an agent but to be honest I have practically given up on them and seem to get better advice, and a lot faster on this brill forum. Would be eternally grateful if anyone could shed some light for us. Cheers, Caz.
  2. The more I look into statutory declarations, the more confused I become! I need to get a statutory declaration (or two!) drawn up for my ex-husband to sign before I can apply for visas for my daughters. I have looked at lots of previous posts about this and have managed to find out quite a lot of information but wondered if anyone knows the answers to:- - Does a public notary have to be the witness to my ex-husbands signature? On the Australian Government Attorney General's website there is a long list of people who seem to be ok to be signatories including teachers, police officers etc. - Is it possible to draw up the declaration myself and get it signed/witnessed? - Will I need to get one declaration drawn up for each daughter or would one form cover them both? I really don't want to go down the wrong track and then possibly have to get my ex to agree to do this twice. He's not very happy being asked to do it once! Thanks everyone.

  4. Hi, OH and I aren't married but have been living together just over 2 yrs. As part of our visa app (skilled family sponsored 138) we have to write a stat dec as to the state of our relationship etc. Does this have to be certified or can I send a print out from my comp? Also we have to produce a family tree diagram showing OH's relationship to his uncle in oz, does this need photocopying and certifying too? We have copied and certified all the official birth/marriage certificates showing family link. Thanks for any help! Rachel

    statutory declarations HELP !!!

Hi, Can anyone help? we are doing a statutory declaration with a solicitor on monday morning, and have read the TRA guidelines for stat decs and it specifically mentions needing a third party to corroborate any statements made on the stat dec. Who can this be? can it be a friend?, or does it need to be someone who has witnessed you doing the task that you are stating?. I am a little confused. Can anyone who has used a stat dec for their TRA application, and had a successful outcome let me know what they did. I will be so gratefull. Kim
