  1. Hi, we arrived in oz on Tuesday and are staying on the gold coast. We have realised its not for us and fell in love with the Sunshine Coast. Can anyone recomend any nice areas on the Sunshine Coast. We have looked around Mountain Creek and Kawana Waters and like both areas. We have 2 boys who will be in high school and primary school. I dont drive as yet so will need to be within walking distance to schools. Thanks Jill xxx

  4. hI myself and my family are looking at theses 2 areas are they any good, our pains are 11,9, and 15 months so ideal area would have decent schools and plenty to keep them out of our hair. We are also open to other areas but have been told by our agent these are good although he has no kids.

  8. Hello, i have a 5 year old son Harrison who is looking to make new friends after arriving from the UK 5 weeks ago. We are moving to Glenfields, Mountain Creek in 2 weeks time and would love for him to make new friends nearby. He loves the beaches and parks so we spend alot of time in Mooloolaba, and sometimes go along Cotton Tree and Maroochydore too. If your children would like to meet and play...whilst we natter, please PM me your tel number and i'll do the same to arrange a meet up date and time soon. Regards Natalie.x :wubclub:
  9. good evening, can anyone help? what are the catchment areas for mountain creek primary school and where is the best shopping centre in or around maroochydore, sunshine coast? thanks for any help. mrs nyper.
  10. I had sent an email last week to Mountain Creek School asking if they could recommend what school year my boys should go into. So today I was happily looking on the web at areas and put in search 'Mountain Creek' OMG the stabbing came up, last week a 14 year old boy was stabbed by another boy in the leg !! I know bad things happen everywhere but Mountain Creek School had such a good reputation, then I went onto read that The Courier-Mail reported that 10 to 14-year-olds are committing shocking crimes and at similar rates as adults - at schools, on public or private transport and in the home. So there you have it the rose tinted glasses fell right of on my keyboard and especialy when I read Five Sunshine Coast teenagers have been suspended from school after sucking on the potentially fatal Bindeez Beads. The 16-year-olds, from Mountain Creek State High School, were suspended a week ago after it was discovered one of the boys brought the beads to school and handed them out to friends. Never heard of these beads before but sounds bad news. It's just so sad when you hear these things happening in schools, adults at pubs/clubs is one thing but schools!!! Right anyone out there whose kiddies go to the school tell me it's all hyped up by the media - p l e a s e
  11. Ok another dimlema. Rental seems very hard to find whilst your here in the UK so we will go into holiday accommodation for first two weeks. But you dont get if you dont ask so here goes:- Does anyone know of a rental property within the mountain creek school zone, three bedrooms that will accommodate dogs. an extra dog bond is available if required. We will be looking to occupy from the end of August or early september. I know its a long shot but i thought someone on here maybe renting/living here and moving on to pastors new and seeking a new tenant.
