    ACS - Awaiting Documents

Just checked our online status this morning and it has now changed to Awaiting Documents. Sent off our application nearly 11 weeks ago and now it appears that they need something else off us, am I correct in thinking this. Thought everything we sent had been checked by the Agent and everything was there. Has anyone else had this shown on their status line and if so, can anyone clarify further for me. Debbie xxx
  2. I applied for the 175 Skilled Migration Visa in January, my 2nd year holiday visa expires in July. I have heard that it may take another year for the visa to be granted. Has anybody heard of anyone in this situation been granted a bridging visa to carry them through until the residency visa is granted so they could continue working? My employer is not willing to sponsor. If all comes to all could I leave and come back on a holiday visa and just not work? Would immigration refuse me a visa seeing as i've been in oz for so long? I've been told by numerous people that immigration are clamping down on people coming back on holiday visas after been in oz on a working holiday visa. Has anyone heard of this happening to someone?? Help!!!!
  3. my daughter emigrated to oz a year ago with husband & my wife & I are waiting to be sponsored to join them. my daughter has a daughter born in oz would this be any help. I am 62 & have a property to sell & run a small sign business which I hope to carry on in oz in a part time capacity. any tips ???
  4. Hi all I am new to PIO and as the title says we are awaiting the result of our application for 176 sponsorship. We were lucky enought to squeeze our application in before the 30th deadline and have been sent our email receipt and are now just awaiting the result. I now have a couple of questions that I hope people that have already been through this process can answer! Firstly how do you find out if the visa has been granted, was it an email or just through the normal post? Also I dont know how other people get on but I find the DIAC website a little hard to navigate around and find the answers to my questions so have been interested to find out about validation etc from this forum, can anyone point me in the direction were they get this from or is it included with the visa grant? Hopefully we wont have to wait too long for our reply and im sure I wont be a stranger to this forum in the meantime. Thanks Kate

    Parents awaiting CPVs

Hey guys, Thought that PIO should try and catch up with you. How far through the process are you all now??? And can we help with anything?
  6. Hello, Thanks again for the help for my previous question... I managed to find a solicitor that certified my copies for a very reasonable price! I have sent them to ACS and this is the problem now: I sent them on the 2nd of March, but ACS website still says "awaiting documents". To send I used Post Office "International Signed For", but I am not sure if that was the best option, as it is not possible to track the delivery abroad (they didn't tell me that at the time). As the average time to deliver to Australia is said to be 5 working days, I see three possibilities here... my mail is just delayed, ACS takes a while after they receive the documents to update their website, or it just got lost. Before I start panicking, anyone can share experiences on this? How did you send the documents to ACS (I should have asked this before I know!) How long did they take to get there? Thanks again! Luis
  7. Hi all, Hubby did his Vetassess practical in Accrington today and now we are waiting for the results (approx. 2 weeks), obviously we would like them yesterday! He said that the examiners were relaxed and friendly, could not have been nicer. Positive thoughts in our direction please, fingers crossed etc, etc, and to all the others awaiting results good luck.
  8. Hi there, my 2nd year holiday visa expires in July, I applied for the Skilled Migration Visa in January, at the time my skill, a plumber was on the critical skills list but it is no longer on that list. I have heard that it may take up to another year to come through. Anyone know what my options are? Is it possible to obtain a bridging visa or can I leave Australia & come back in on a holiday visa?? Is anyone in this situation? Please advise.

    Day 10... Awaiting Email...

Well... Having been told I would be assigned a C/O and contacted by email within 10 working days of them receiving my application I am on tenterhooks - as today is the 10th day...! ...."Processing times take on average 12 weeks but you will be assigned a case officer and contacted by them withing 10 working days from the date we received your application. If you have agreed to email contact this is how your case officer will contact you. ".... I just want to know what else it is that they are going to want from us... everything was front loaded, but the OH has been out of work since xmas so we're thinking they'll ask for proof of him being able to support me and/or an AOS. I sent the application on 2nd March, they got it and took the money on the 3rd... (which I figure makes this day 10 as they were active on it on the 3rd) I know there are are others out there who've sent in their apps and who are in the same boat as me or further along so figured I'd start this as a kind of timeline / diary thing for those about to apply too =) As well of course, as being an outlet for my stress! Cat xx
  10. Hi All, We have been awaiting our 175 Visa for 6 months now and really want to head out to Australia to see my parents in April. If we haven't got our 175 Visa by April we will go out there on a tourist eVisa. Does this present us with any problems? If we are granted the 175 while out there we thought of just flying out to New Zealand and back? Is this a realistic solution? We certainly don't want to have to fly back to the UK. Can anyone please help or offer advice??? Tracy W

    Hi! Awaiting a WH Visa

Hey! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Summer, 21, from South West England. I applied for my working holiday visa online today, awaiting the reply to see if it will be granted now - scary! Then I can book my flights, I hope to go in late Nov/early Dec 08 time, and working all the hours I can to save up enough money! I travelled to Sydney alone last year for a 3 week holiday (my best friend lives out there) and I loved it so much I've decided to go back for longer (she practically had to drag me on the plane, I really didn't want to go home!). I hope to stay for the full 12 months of my Visa. Probably doing something like retail or general office/admin work to fund my stay, I'm not really a 'skilled' worker, only have GCSE's unfortunately, or I'd be going permanently! Well, I've rambled on long enough! I love the forum, and hope to learn as much as possible before I go  xoxo
  13. We have an on-line application in for a 175 Visa. I understand you have to be out of the country (Auss) when the visa is granted. What happens if you would like to visit Auss for a holiday/reccie etc during this time, especially if it is near the time when the visa may be granted? Do you have to wait till you have a CO and notify them of the dates you intend to be in Auss?
  14. Hi All, i'm currently awaiting the results of my interdependency visa, my partner has posted here a few times, thanks for all the help so far I had complications with the medical, and was diagnosed as hypothyroid, but I've had a BUPA doctor write the report with all blood tests and scans to HAS requirements, i don't think it should be an issue from what i've already read here on the forum.. so.. my medical reports have been with them for a week, they've had the rest of the application inc police check and references since October 2007 any guesses or similar experiences time wise of getting the visa ? I've phoned my officer at the high commission a couple of times last week but no answer or reply I noted a few people sending off passports for the stamp, can this be done in person at the high commission ? we have to book flights this week by Friday, or I have to follow on later any comments, help or info gratefully appreciated

    Awaiting CO- please help

Dear All, Thank you for providing me some sanity with regards to my application to OZ. It is comforting to read some of the messages and I am so glad I was recommeded this web site. Could anyone offer a little advise as to when I'm likely to here from a case officer. My application was officially acknowledged on 28th May. I am applying for a skilled independant visa as a dentist, which is on the MODL. I am itching to go and am so anxious to push proceedings as much as possible. Is it worth sending medicals and Pcc in advance or to wait till a case officer contacts us. Is it likely that the medicals and character references will expire ie the application take over a year from now? Thanks for taking the time to read this. Kind regards Hetal
