    aircraft mechanic and aqf 3

Hello all, I'm new here and need some advice or info. I'm a US licensed aircraft mechanic (with an Australian one in process) but my TRA assessment was unsuccessfull because of not having this gained by having done an apprenticeship. Does anybody know if there's a course out somewhere to get an AQF certificate in this trade? CASA says its equivalent to an AQF cert. 4 but doesn't help me to get or convert this. Anyway any help or experience is welcome! Thanks much!

    aqf trade assessments

Hi I am a painter and decorator confused by the mine field regarding aqf trade assessments and pathway E. Can anyone please tell me if the are companies besides go matilda that can help get an AQF qualification in Aus, preferably Melbourne/Victoria? Also, after the delay of the MAP announcement does anyone think it`s worth it to wait and see what the changes will be? Has anyone been sponsored while in Aus doing the trade assessment? Would really appreciate some help Cheers C

  7. Hi there, I am planning to fly over to Perth to do the AQF 111 qualification in Solid Plastering in the next couple of weeks. Can anyone confirm that I can do this on the 3 month tourist visa? My understanding of the 3 month ETA is that you cannot engage in studies or training for longer than 3 months, as the course I will be doing is only 2 days long I pressume this will be fine but I don't want to fly over to then be told I can't do the course because I am on the wrong visa. I would really appreciate if someone could advise on this one!! Also, has anybody else done the AQF 111 solid plastering and how did you find it?

    AQF Diploma for visa

Hi Is anyone else doing an AQF Diploma through distance learning either through TAFE or Seek Learning? I've just started one in Business Management through Seek as I need it to pass the skills assessment. I messed around that much trying to find out what was equivalent to and AQF Diploma I just thought it would be easier to actually do one! Getting all of my learning material through together freeked me out a bit! I'd be keen to see how other people are getting on if they're doing one or have done one. Let me know Em

    AQF 111 certificate ??

Are ACTS the only people to use to get an AQF 111 cert. ? (in painting and decorating) I know a few people on here have used them and have been happy with them, but they are quite expensive, and any chance to save a few quid would be nice. Does anyone know of any others and any experience of them ?? Thanks in advance

  13. Hi Bella's other half Tony here, After some very useful help from Go Matilda We have a much better understanding of the order things need to progress for our circumstances, It appears like so many people in the UK, I have a valued skill but no formal qualifications, to get the necessary TRA i first need to obtain an AQF III, now reading up on this it appears i need to undergo a workplace assesment, does anyone have any experience of this process and what i might expect to happen, what i may need to do or provide. Tony, Bella and the boys

    aqf 111 for roofer

hi all , i'm early days as far as getting everything together for a skilled visa but spoke to my agent and he says that i can either be assessed here for £2000 or go to perth and be assessed there for $1500 as i dont have any qualifications only work experience, my mate lives in perth so this sounds like a good idea, just wondering if anyone on here as been over to perth and done it for roofing or any other trade, also has anyone been refused ? got to wait to see if reopen pathway d or whatever it is in july before i start parting with my brass though... so many hurdles to overcome its doing my head in....:arghh:

    AQF lll for plasterers

Hi All Just wandered if anyone has done the AQF lll in solid plastering ? Thanks for your yime Emma
  16. Hi I found these after a search on the internet today - uk.tradetrain.com.au It looks like they can award the necessary AQF qualification via onsite assessment in the uk which in turn will allow you to get a positive skills assessment from TRA via pathway E. Has anyone used them before? and if so any idea of cost? Thanks Nicky
  17. Hi, I have my ONC / NVQ 3 in electrical/mechanical engineering and I am taking my HNC at the moment. I would like to apply for a visa under the skills recognition as an Associate electrical engineer but you need a AQF diploma or equivalent. Does anyone know if HNC is eqivalent or have any helpful advice on what path I should take? Any help greatly appreciated.
