  1. Hi Elaine, I got my state nomination to apply about 2 weeks before I lodged my visa so around 5 months.
  2. Hi Just to say I got my visa grant today, 190 offshore. Lodged 22nd Sept 2021. Allied health, OT. Best of luck to you all waiting.
  3. Just popping back on for anyone reading this in the future to say 190 pr visa granted today...lodged 22nd Sept 2021. Best of luck everyone
  4. I think you have to apply for limited reg and complete the practice supervision part once in Australia? I am waiting for my visa (currently sat on further assessment stage) , then apply for limited reg with ahpra ASAP, then have to present in person within 3 months (I think).
  5. I have to apply for ahpra after my visa comes back (we do the process back to front in comparison to MH nurses). So I am hoping for my visa back in the next few weeks then I have allowed 3 months for ahpra to come back and aiming for June. Who knows if it will actually time like that (probably not )
  6. OT here...lodged 22nd sept 2021 for 190 Tasmania and had CO contact 5th Jan. Good luck!
  7. No I am offshore in UK. Occupational therapist.
  8. I submitted 190 visa application sept 22nd last year and had CO contact last week. Hopefully things will move along for you soon.
  9. Hi, Not a nurse but an OT. I waited approx 5 months for an invite after submitting eoi but my points were only 70 and I'm offshore.
  10. You never know, your experience may count so always worth a check . Best of luck and keep us updated .
  11. Hello im a qualified OT in the UK and for my skills assessment they checked my degree certificates and I had to have 3 years post graduate experience. It sounds like you have now completed your OT degree is that correct but don't have the 3 years post grad? OTA's are not the same as OTs , although similar, they do not hold pins i don't think or hold the same level of responsibility (or at least shouldn't do!). To have a positive skills assessment with the Australian OT Council, I believe you have to have completed the degree And 3 years post graduate experience (at least i did) and also needed this for my eoi I think as it was part of the requirement for any of the states I looked in to. I have just lodged my PR 190 visa for Tas. I would check direct with the OTC in Australia for advice.
  12. Hi Nikki, Thats great thanks! I have a positive skills assessment (stage 1) and permanent job offer in Oz..so I think next step is limited reg with ahpra which I will do once my visa is through. Thanks for clarifying the process. Can't believe you got audited the following year , what a nightmare..don't jinx me lol
  13. Thats really good to know..thank you
  14. Hi , sorry to jump in. Can anyone clarify is the ahpra registration the skills assessment part 1 and part 2 supervised practice? Ie that is all that is required for Full registration? There's nothing separate that ahpra requires of OTs?
  15. Hi, that is a good point...but luckily it is for a 190 PR visa so all fine on that note but worth pointing out for others reading the post in similar situation. He doesn't pull in any extra funding at all in school and has always been in mainstream (he has 3 years left in secondary school now). He is prescribed medication but that is all.
