    Someone stole my fridge!

I bought a fridge over a year ago, a bar top type with a small freezer compartment at the top. I went to Spudshed for around 45 mins and when I got back it had gone! I posted a theft alert on Facebook asking whoever stole it to return it. No one has returned it so it looks like I won't be seeing it again. Has anyone else experienced things going missing in the Nothern suburbs of Perth?

    Flights to UK now

If I did wish to leave for the UK now is it even possible with all the restrictions? I came with Emirates from Newcastle airport but I hear those flights have stopped due to Coronavirus. I just started with a cough, have a slight temperature and body aches, headaches, black outs and breathlessness so probably am in no rush to travel right now. I collapsed during a walk a few days ago, was lying on the pavament for 30 minutes and had to call family for help. I've had better weeks! My plan is to leave Australia, land in Newcastle, stay overnight at the Premier Inn and fly Easyjet to go on to the south of Spain. Health permitting. Is anyone booking a flight now? Any advice on getting a cheap flight to Newcastle?

    Phone nightmare

Immigration have asked me for proof of income. Since coming here I use Transferwise to transfer funds from my uk bank (Halifax). In order to go to a recent 3 month statement I need to access my Halifax account. Unfortunately they seem to have changed the way you log in and now require a phone to get a code. It's an old phone number I no longer use or have access to. So I rang Halifax using telephone banking and used the "voice is your password" for security so they know it's me. Except they dont know it's me. I wanted them to change the old number for my AU number so I can log in to the account and print off a statement for immigration but they said they couldn't change it. They said you need to come into the branch. I said I'm 10,000 miles away. So what is the use of the voice security if I cant request a mobile number change? Now how am I supposed to get a statement from Halifax in time? I have 6 days to get one.

Have you bought any bitcoin ?

No I haven't invested in Bitcoin the ROI is too low. But I invested in Dent and XDC well below a cent. Also hold RSR, XRP, PAC and a few others. I've made £310,000 in the past 4 months (profit) I invested around 15k so a very good return to date. I advised family and nieces to invest in them and they've tripled their initial investment in a month. The alt season is almost here. I'm @CryptoukDigital on Twitter so you can see what I advise there.

No you don't understand how it works. If I go to Spain and show them I'm financially able to support myself I can apply for residency. Why would I need another passport?

I have enough money to live in Spain without needing a pension so why does that exclude me?

There are long term visas you can get then you go to the police station before 3 months is up and apply to become a Spanish resident. Unless that has changed??? I have a cold allergy (primary acquired cold urticaria) it affects around 1 in 300,000 people so it's rare. No one I know has it. In the UK I had to stay indoors most of the time. Its why Im in AU now. I need a warm climate. Plus it's cheaper than the UK. I thought about Asia but Ive been to Spain a few times and like it a lot. Dubai is another possibility but I'd probably get arrested for something within minutes of stepping out of the terminal building.

    No response from Home Affairs

I'm getting no response from either Home Affairs or the visa status people so maybe someone here knows the answer to this. On the BVE BRIDGING (GENERAL) (subclass 050) I have which expires in a few days there is a condition 8511 - show ticket. There is no no further stay listed so I assume I can apply for another visa, so I'm in the process of applying for a 600 onshore tourist stream visa which lasts up to 12 months. The cost is $365 AUD. Now before I go ahead and pay is there any reason why they would deny it? I don't want to waste money if there's a chance it will be denied.

    Flights to UK now

I sent an email to minister Alex Hawke to see what he recommends since Home Affairs is not responding. Hi there Alex, Am on a Bridging Visa E which expires in a few days (April 8th). Can't leave Australia at the moment would like to apply for a visa that can keep me here for at least 12 months. Can't get a reply from WA community visa resolution status and Home Affairs so maybe you can give me some advice mate. Regards, I'll see if he replies. I've noticed some of these flights out of Australia are not direct to Spain. They go via Singapore or Dubai or Doha and can take up to 57 hours!

    No response from Home Affairs

So Home Affairs expect me to sell all my furniture in a few days and leave by the 8th? They must be living on another planet. I've already told them twice that's not how things work in the real world. I'm staying in Australia for the foreseeable future visa or no visa and theres not a damn thing they can do about it. At least now I know not to spend any more money on one.

I think if you have enough money and can prove it he would have been allowed to stay in Spain on the right visa.

Home Affairs accused me of lying

I had a phone call today from Home Affairs out of the blue. They said that when I arrived in Australia over a year and a half ago I lied to customs officers as I told them I was only visiting for a holiday for 8 weeks and then leaving. The real reason I came here was to apply for a permanent resident visa but family and friends advised me not to mention that to customs as chances are I wouldn't be allowed in and for me to book a return ticket so it would look as if I was on holiday. I agreed that it was a good idea and my best chance of getting past customs. So what did I do wrong exactly? There's no rule anywhere that I can see that says I cant say that I'm coming for a short stay and then later change my mind and apply for a permanent resident visa. They have given me a BVE bridging visa with a condition I buy a ticket. Obviously I'm not going to do that.

Home Affairs accused me of lying

I can't remember what I wrote on the card now but I probably wrote holiday, same as I told customs. Not doing anything illegal.

Pretty sure you can buy a house on a bridging visa. You don't need special permission as far as I know.

Home Affairs accused me of lying

Im still puzzled as to how Home Affairs would even know about the conversation I had with customs at the airport over a year ago. When they were searching my bags one of them asked how long I was staying for, if I was carrying any cash etc. It was a casual conversation so I said just 8 weeks then going back to make it look like I was only going for a holiday. My rental lease runs out in late September so should I decide to leave that would be the best time for me to go and it gives me plenty of time to sort everything out. When I leave Australia it'll be on my terms and on the date I wish to travel. Certainly not going to be rushed into leaving by Home Affairs. Relocating to another country takes time it's not something you can do in just a couple of weeks.
