PR grant 8 Feb 2019 Citizenship Application lodged 9 Feb 2020 Test Invite Email 9 December 2020 Scheduled Test date / Interview 9 Jan 2021 Rescheduled 18 Dec 2020 Approved same day 18 Dec 2020 Ceremony invite email 4 June 2021 Ceremony date 24 June 2021 ——— Application Lodgement to test/approval 10 months. Approval to Ceremony day 6 months. ——— Sydney NSW Waverley Council

Anyone been invited to an upcoming ceremony in Waverley or Woolarah Council recently? And what was their timeline from approval. thanks

@Aayush I’m not sure if you can edit it. But yes it was on the immi account application under family and spouse related to the applicant. there is a drop down box where you can click deceased.

@Aayush sorry to hear hear about your loss. My condolences. there is a drop-down box in the online app that has “deceased” as an option. so when you inform them, I’m sure they will just update your file. all the best.

@Mmmbop I got approved December 18, so I’m approaching 5 months waiting for ceremony invite in NSW Waverley Council.

@novo007 I’ve heard some people receive it on email and reflecting as correspondence on immi account. I wouldn’t think they would post because this could get lost or delayed. Waiting time is 5-7 months from approval, so I’m approaching 5. Just got to wait I guess.

@novo007 I had my application approved same day as test mid December and also still waiting for ceremony invite and I’m also in NSW - Waverley Council.

Anyone had a virtual or face to face ceremony in NSW, Waverley, Woolarah, City council? Or anyone still waiting for ceremonies from December/January approvals in these areas? thanks

Hi Randall. Tbh I don’t think contacting them will make any difference as waiting time for decision is currently 14-16 months. And 5 - 7 months for ceremony. This was updated online yesterday. if you are out of the country during any of the steps they will not proceed with your application until you are back on Australian soil.

I didn’t receive an email or notification. Immi just changed from received to approved. Then got an approval letter in the post a couple days later. so keep checking, hopefully it updates soon.

That’s interesting, so your friend just requested a virtual ceremony and they offered that to him 2 days later? Or did he/she have some sort of compelling reasons to do it online?
