Hi, perhaps a silly question - we have been granted a 491 Visa for SA and are planning to move next month. Do we have to arrive at Adelaide airport to validate our visa or can we eg fly via another Australian airport ie Perth and then fly on to Adelaide? Unsure of the rules Many thanks in advance

Thanks Marissa, we don’t have any conditions on our grant letter mentioning this but will double check with the immigration people just to be sure . -

Many thanks for your reply, we’ve checked our visa conditions and no mention of it either. Will maybe try and contact immigration to see what they say. Ps congratulations on your visa for VIC - we used to live there and it’s lovely -

Hi, we are in the process of organising a move to Australia having secured a 491 visa with my husband as the main applicant. My question is do we have to arrive in Australia together or can one of us move out and the other follow at a later date? Can’t seem to find the answer to this anywhere. Many thanks in Advance -

Not yet Phil, but our time line is nowhere near as long as yours was, so we anticipate quite a wait ANZSCO 242111 University Lecturer EOI Mar 2021 Pre- Invite (SA State Nomination) 11 May 2022 State Nomination Application 16 May 2022 State Nomination Granted 20 May 2022 491 State nominated Visa application submitted 3 Jun 2022 (Police checks and other documents attached) Medicals uploaded 28 Jun 2022 Status on immiaccount says ‘Received’ -
Gosh that’s a long time Seems weird that they would be updating (and reducing) the processing times when there are still people such as yourself having waited for so long. I hope you hear something positive soon!
