Hi there, I have been in communication with my late wife’s SIPP pension scheme in the UK. I do not seem to have any choice in what I should do but to take the benefit as a lump sum option. I am on disability payments in Australia due to an mva in 2016. The benefit would be used to pay off some of my mortgage and pay back the funeral costs of my late wife. It seems wrong to call a benefit a benefit when you do not actually gain anything. Are you able to assist?
