Thank you for replying. I see... My hope was that maybe a skilled visa could allow more opportties despite the age limit. Sadly, we are really hoping to relocate with everything that is going on here in our own country. Something never imagined I would say. I know it seems like a moment in time and that this too shall pass.... But I want a better quality of life for us than the one we are living in. Perhaps Ireland, we have distant relatives there. Sigh Thank you again

I am a 46 year old registered nurse with over 20 years of experience in the US. My adult son (who is over 23) and I would like to relocate to Australia. We understand that things are uncertain with everything going on with COVID19 and that it may be some time before we could enter the country. My question is rather or not it's likely or even possible at my age to get a visa and if so rather or not he would be able to come. He lived in China over the last 3 years teaching and doesn't have recent work experience in the states but speaks mandarin. Thank you in advance for any advise.
