Hi Paul, on Monday DHA asked for a couple more docs which I uploaded immediately. Now showing as further assessment....assuming all documentation is correct when you think I’ll receive grant? Thanks

Exemption request went in on 4th Aug. Got the approval on 12th Aug!

So got invite to apply from WA state late December last year. As part of the 491 criteria you need to secure a full time job offer to proceed any further. We went over to Australia for 2 weeks in Feb this year and lined up an interview. I also sorted my AHPRA and presented in person. They offered me a job to commence work 1st June. We got back from Aus 2 weeks before lockdown in UK however managed to get the invite in time etc and lodged in April. Been a crazy few months but worth it!

If you’ve got a critical skill/job then yes. I’m an RN and have a job lined up which was supposed to start June 1st. My employer wrote me a reference for the need of me to come to Australia which secured it I think!

I had my travel exemption granted (Wednesday this week) to leave early September, however my visa still showing as received. Submitted April27th so past with the 3 months processing time for a 491 State regional. Has anyone else been or in this situation? And if so how long did it take for visa to be granted once exemption was approved. Thanks

I’m a nurse and lodged 491 on 27 April but still not changed from “received”....my job over in Aus still waiting for me though so I’m hoping to hear soon! How about you?

No idea what to think! Perhaps the system updating and will change in the coming days.. On the DHA website they updated the estimated processing time for 491 Regional State Nom 77 days - 3 months.

Hi all Has anyone else’s estimated processing time on their immi account disappeared? Lodged my 491 back in April and was coming up to the 76th day. Checked mine this morning and not showing. Would anyone know the reason or experienced this before? Thank you

I didn’t as not specified anywhere - if you have any doubts then perhaps contact the state that nominated you.

I’m on a WA state 491 and on their state nomination agreement it says to inform WA government once DHA has granted the visa. Not sure with other states however.

I’m in exactly the same situation and have uploaded a letter on immi to inform them their panel of doctors not taking examinations at the moment and need more than 28 days....hopefully common sense prevails! good luck with it all.
