  1. Thank you for your reply My only concern with the WHV is the likelihood of getting employed for a 6 month contract, but as you say if I already have two years experience it's probably the easiest way to get connections in the country. Just say everything goes better than expected and I get offered a sponsorship 6 months in would I be able to apply for the mid term skilled worker visa before my WHV runs out?
  2. Hi sorry in advance if this isn't the right form I'm new So I'm a fairly new software developer from the UK and have some friends and family in Melbourne. I'd love to live there for a while and was looking into the skilled worker mid term visa. From reading the conditions on that I need a sponsor before I apply in two years experience so I'd have to start looking for jobs in Melbourne next May. But I've also read that's it's unlikely and difficult to get sponsored while living in the UK. My question is would it be a better route to go for the WHV first, get established find a sponsor then apply for the mid term visa? Also the fact that I may change my mind and might want to live there forever so the longer I have work experience in Australia the more points I'll have? Sorry if the post it's a bit rambly haha been reading stuff all day and would like some of your experiences and advice!
