Hi Guys, Good news MP Julian Hill for the Bruce electorate did ceremonies today. My neighbour has got a ceremony with MP on 5th June. He and his family was approved on November 20th. He had personally contacted Julian Hill though email and a phone call. So, good news for forum members from City of Casey and Greater Dandenong council.

    AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP TIMELINES 2018-2019

Hi mate, First of all your statement of not doing any ceremonies of regional areas in wrong because ceremonies are going on but no of candidates is very less in regional areas. Especially in this or any forums, you will see most members are from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane. Hence, people feel dept is just doing their ceremony. My brother lives in regional WA. He is based in a mining town called Karatha as he is petroleum mining engineer. His applied in Feb 2019. He got test appointment in Sept 2019 for Nov 6th 2019. He gave the test and got approved. He got virtual ceremony EOI from QLD regional on May first week. He replied yes and it took 2 weeks for them to send a date. He gave his ceremony on Friday 15th May and did it in 5 mins. He understood that QLD regional us taking care of WA regional also. I don't know why. City councils have nothing to do with virtual ceremonies. Instead they are happy they don't have to. It was just their duty to entertain people in ceremonies for dept. I am aware of some city councils like city of Melbourne who did ceremonies but they did some trials and no one thsn heard anything from them. Looks like because the Mayor has to do it and the Mayor will be having more important jobs to do at the moment , they must have backed off. I asked my friends in city of Melbourne and they said they got ceremony done straight from dept VIC office. If your approval is Oct or Nov 2019, you may get ceremony this month or else you will have to wait. If you contact these people, they will just tell you or write back to you with the same stuff you see on dept website.

Hi Lasanga, I would never expect City of Casey doing anything. I have wondered why even I moved to this city council. Greater Dandenong is much better than this one. I hoped you must have got ur ceremony. Hope you get it by May end.You had got approved ages ago my friend.

Mate Don't freak out. I had the same stuff in my application. I had my father and mother's documents drop down in docs section. I didn't do much. Just attached their passport and national identity docs. I feel this would be just to check your origin for the department. That is it. The department is not stupid enough to give parents citizenship when they can see they don't live here and are neither on pr. Hope this helpd

Hi Guys, I am asking this to guys who had virtual ceremony. Should we wear suit, professional dress for the ceremony or I will say just wear something professional waist above. I am just wondering should we be doing the ceremony standing or sitting in front of laptop. I am working from home and I have got ceremony on 20th April 4 pm.

Hi mate, You do 1 applicarion and you can add ur family members in that.. In 1 application, there will be 4 people and you will have to upload docs for every person individually.. Your adult son's license is fine for address proof. They don't look more than that. Address is just to send approval letter and invitation for ceremony. My experience is otherwise they don't care much about address. Aadhar is not mandatory..I didn't give my Aadhar.Just passport, driving license, birth certificate and overseas pccs is what they want. I didn't had my birth certificate, they asked me for school leaving certificate. That is it. Hope I answered ur query.

Guys citizenship ceremonies going online... People who have given tests still getting approved but at a lower pace.. Ones who have to give tests need to wait bcoz there is no online process for that.. But once restrictions ease, they will put more resources to catchup. Great news.. Our hardwork and petition got answered.

Hi Guys Read the news that David Coleman MP is on indefinite leave and Alan Tudge is acting immigration and citizenship minister. With many issues going on with student, temporary work visas, I expect our cases will be of least priority and will take longer.

    AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP TIMELINES 2018-2019

Hi Guys, I have received email from city of Casey of not attending March 30th ceremony if having respiratory illness. I spoke with a friend who works in City council and he told me that maybe citizenship ceremonies of this month may not happen. They are also closely looking at next month ceremonies. Instead, he told me that later they have plans to do more dates to catch up on ceremonies.I am talking about Casey.
