This is my opinion based on my experience. It is not a strict rule that he must have the evidence of his first entry. He can answer no to the question asking 'if he has evidence of his first arrival to Australia'. That was what I did because I had no evidence. And during the interview I was not asked for it. In fact, I asked the officer interviewing me that some people said they are asked for that. He said he does not need it, that they have it anyway. Having said that, if he has a photocopy of his previous passport or email of airline booking, he can carry it along on the day of interview. I took as much documents as I could and one unexpected one came handy during my interview. All the best with your application

Although individual varies with processing time. Most people I know in Tassie is relatively fast compared to the mainland States and Territories. It took me approximately 3 months from application to Approval (Am still waiting for ceremony at the moment). However, I most state that I reschedule my test date.

Hi Georgiegie, I did my test same day as you but in Hobart. I got my approval on 29th Jan 2020. I know the 'anxiety' I had for just 1 week wait. You approval will come soon.

It depend on what they ask of you on the day of the interview for identification. If For example you have your surname on your passport or driver license, you would be asked why the 'change' of name from what was on your birth certificate (ie if they as you to present this 3 documents). You might want to carry along an old document like your primary or secondary school certificate with your surname on it to prove it is your surname. I will also advised you to do a statutory declaration stating all the format of names you have on the documents and take along with you. All the best.
