  1. I have no idea, I am a single applicant with a very transparent life history. I reckon this delay happened because when I got a test invite (20th Jan) I pushed my appointment forward to the following day (21st Jan). This happened so quickly that they didn’t have time to run the checks before my test, and after the interview my case just fell through the cracks and was resurrected 13 months after.
  2. Hey folks, Just checking in to say that it’s been over 13 months since the say of my interview with no change in the status of my application (still “Received”) or any communication or feedback from the department. I hope I am the unlucky exception, and everybody’s applications get processed much quicker!
  3. I don't mean to sound negative but I am: a single applicant with no immediate family from a low-risk country with a very straightforward life history crystal clear police clearances no overseas trips during the entire 4-year permanent residence I had my test on 21.01.2020, and my application is still "Pending" ... 8 months, 18 days since the date of the interview. I think my case just fell through the cracks, I'm so sad I do hope that this will not be the case for you!
  4. Hey All, I have my interview and test on Jan 21, 2020 (see my signature for details), but still haven't heard back The status of my application is still "Received", and I am starting to wonder why the processing of my application is taking so long, since I am a single applicant with a very transparent life history I acknowledge how lucky I was to have been able to push my Interview and test forward from April 4th to January 21st and not get held off by the Covid interruption but I would still like to see some progress with my application I hope everyone in this thread has their interviews, approvals and ceremonies asap! Cheers
  5. You can have a go at filling out a paper application form to get an idea of what questions to expect. Link: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/form-listing/forms/1300t.pdf
  6. Hey All, I have a similar timeline (see my signature), but still haven't heard back since my citizenship ceremony on Jan 21st. The status of my application is still "Received", and I am starting to wonder why the processing of my application is taking so long, since I am a single applicant with a very transparent life history?! I acknowledge how lucky I was to have been able to push my Interview and test from April 4th forward to January 21st and not get held off by the Covid interruption but I would still like to see some progress with my application. I hope everyone in this topic gets the pleasant news they are expecting very soon! Cheers
  7. It's been 4 months since my interview and test, and my citizenship application is still pending. I understand that there may have been delays caused by Covid-19 outbreak but I feel that my citizenship approval has been adversely impacted by this delay. Considering that I am a single applicant with a very transparent life history, NO spouse/children or travel history during my 4-year residence in Australia, and a citizenship test passed with 100% score, I cannot see why others are being approved hours after their test took place, and my case approval is taking so long. Sad reacts only please.
  8. I'm in the same boat mate, had my test and interview on Jan, 21 and haven't had any updates since...
  9. Actually, I am the one directly affected! I am doing a postgrad law degree at UWA, and I was paying my tuition fees in advance in previous semesters (grateful for paying domestic rates!). Cut-off date for Semester 1 is March 31, and in current climate with all the uncertainty, understandably, I am very reluctant to spend X thousand $ on tuition fees, so I decided to take an academic leave until I get my citizenship and get access to HECS. I was so close, though! I am one of the applicants who lodged an application in Dec, got an invite in early Jan. I rescheduled my interview from early April to late Jan, so none of my checks had come through by the time of my interview. At least, I had an interview and sat my test! All the best to everyone guys, all we can do in this brave new world that unfolding before us is look after ourselves and our loved ones, and look out for each other, and be grateful for what we have every day!
  10. Hey mate, my test was on Jan. 21 and I am still waiting for approval.
  11. Would you mind adding the timeline to your signature please? Thank you!
