Hi there Our plans to relocate have been put off twice re bushfires & then covid - thankfully we managed to get full refunds on our flights. At this stage we hope to enter in September (we need to enter before Nov 02 2020 as per RRV). This will be our first entry on this RRV and therefore we will not meet the residency requirement to apply for another RRV. We plan to bring our daughter in on a 601 visa and once onshore apply to sponsor her under our residency. Does any one know if the fact that we will only have 2 months left on the RRV will affect the sponsorship application chances for our daughter?

Thank you- I’m finding it hard to find clarity re no further stay condition 8503- it seems that’s something that can be applied to any visa- so there doesn’t appear to be an obvious choice of application that does not carry this condition and is suitable for following up with an sponsorship application once onshore . Bottom line - hard to avoid using and paying for a migration agent for a simple query!!

My husband & I have pr & want to relocate back to Oz. We need to sponsor our daughter and plan on entering Oz using tourist visa for our daughter and apply for sponsorship once onshore ( quicker than applying offshore & waiting on a decision). The 600 tourist visa has a number of streams and I’m unsure which to use- the visiting family stream or sponsorship stream (confusing cos the sponsorship process won’t start til we arrive in Oz). Can anyone advise?
