  1. Thanks, we're looking at Adelaide which I think allows cats out in the day, but they have a curfew. Renting does seem to be a problem, thanks for the heads up.
  2. Thanks for this, it's a very reassuring reply.
  3. Thanks, just hope that cats have short memories!
  4. Pet Air seems to be the best bet, thanks. Definitely agree with the prepping early you need at least 7 months before you go to organise the rabies vaccine I've just found out.
  5. Hi, We're moving from the UK to Australia in the middle of next year. We have a cat we would like to take with us. Does anyone have any recommendations for animal shipping companies? Also, how well looked after are pets during the travel/quarantine period? Thanks.
  6. Thanks everyone for your replies, they're really helpful.
  7. Hi everyone, After nine years of living in Australia, and after five years of being horribly homesick, I'm finally moving back to the UK at the end of the year. As I'm ridiculously over excited I've started all the preparations early and have had to stop myself from packing up the house already! I've found lots of really helpful information on this forum but have a question that I'm hoping someone will be able to answer for me. Do we need to have travel insurance for a one way flight with a short (three hour or so) stopover? Or is it fine to stick with the airline's compensation for lost luggage as we don't really need anything else? If insurance is advised, are there any companies/policies recommended? Any input appreciated, thanks!
