  1. that's so lucky of you to still be in AUS while you got the approval, or did they promise you that you will receive your approval within that time frame?
  2. Thanks for sharing, it's been very helpful to me as I now know they will reach out and ask your return date and links to Aus.
  3. My travel facility has not yet expired but anyway I'll be eligible for a RRV since I have already spent 2 full years in Australia in the last past 5 years. Attending a ceremony will be easy if I understand it correctly since I just need to come back to Australia on a scheduled date. If calling and explaining would work, when should I make the call and what should I say to them?
  4. Hi All, My application for citizenship by conferral in Australia was submitted around Jun 2018, and I passed the citizenship test and interview on 31st May 2019. The status of the application now is "received" at this point of time, which means I'm waiting for decision. My situation is I will be leaving Australia later this month (around 20th Sept 2019) to fulfil an overseas employment which will last at least 2 years. Could anyone advise how department of immigration is going to deal with my case and what I should do to get an approval even if I am overseas? Any help will be appreciated.
  5. Hi mate, how did your citizenship application go after you moved back to UK? I'm kind of in the same situation now (taken the test, waiting for approval, need to go overseas). Could you please shed some light on it?
  6. Hi Tanwi, What's your latest event tracking on the FOI screen shot? mine one is Integrity Screen Outcome Exempt (21/06/2019). My application risk is still undetermined. Any idea how to get the application risk cleared? Thanks
  7. it's good to (finally) find some one in the same situation. I have tried to contact a lawyer about this but they need $200 to start the conversation (I'm not even sure if they have the answer to the problem). But given you have done your test in April, your decision should be on the way soon ( a friend of mine did the test end of April and her decision came last week). Please let me know if you find any answer to the posted question or your decision comes.
  8. I didn't make it clear.. my bad. I already took the test in May 2019..
  9. I happen to know the time line for one of my friend, so sharing her time line here: submitted: 11/2017 Test: 04/2019 approved: 07/2019 ceremony: unknown BTW, I have another post asking about waiting for decision abroad, could anyone share his experience/knowledge?
  10. My application for citizenship by conferral in Australia has been submitted since Jun 2018, and the status for it is still "received" at this point of time, which means I'm waiting for decision. My situation is I'll be leaving Australia in about 2 months from now and start a overseas employment. I have contacted home affairs about my change of circumstances and was told that the decision could not be made if I'm overseas. Instead, I'll be receiving a email letter saying something like "decision is ready to be made, you need to come back to Australia for the decision to be actually made". My question is has anyone ever received this "decision ready to be made" email before? Once you received the email and return back to Australia, will the application then be made right away or did you have to stay in Australia for some time to wait for the decision? if so, what would the waiting time be like? Your help will be much much appreciated.
  11. my time line: submitted: early Jun 2018 test date: late May 2019 still waiting for decision...
