  1. Just letting you all know guys that I was just approved for my citizenship. Applied 30 Jan 2017 Test 19 July 2018 Approved 27 Aug 2019 18 months and 28 days from Application to Approval. I attempted the FOI thing and was denied. Called the hotline only to be told we need to JUST wait. All the best to everyone. So over the moon.
  2. Been waiting too. 17 months 30 January 2018 I applied (Darwin). 19 July 2018 - took the test and asked to submit 1399 To date: Nothing - status is still "Received" Wife has the same timeline except after exams she got the approval 2-3 days after. I am not sure if it is because I was born in Iran and grew up in the Philippines, so that means I am from an LR country(Philippines) who was born in an HR country(Iran) Also read from whirlpool posted by Aus0000
  3. The way to have ceremony done together was to link your application post exams or you can call immi 1300 number. That is what we did and we had to unlink the application because one year post approval for my wife, I am still waiting. I spoke to my consul general in my vicinity, he told me the possible reason why mine is delayed is because I declared military training which is the ROTC during my uni days back 1994-95 and that the CO is meticulous in terms of your allegiance. I did ask my friend whose applied last October 2017 and he does not recall having to submit a declaration of military service form. By the way I applied 30 January 2018. So at this point I am not sure how our applications are being processed. My next course of action FOI Write to my local MP
  4. Has anyone seen the statistics on this Citizenship processing times webpage? The average waiting month has increased from 19 to 21 months for 90% of the applications. This isn't looking good at all.
  5. I work as a nurse too at the Royal Darwin Hospital. Still waiting. Applied 30 Jan 19 Exam 19 Jul 19 Approval TBA
  6. Applied 30 Jan 2018 Exam: 19 July 2018. Made to submit 1139 Form (declaration of service) - after 1 mo nil was uploaded. Submitted hard copy to office. So reuploaded August. After that. Nothing. Wife had approval within a week.
  7. Hello guys. Here is my timeline Lodged - 30 January 2018 (Received) - 17 months now Exam - 19 July 2018 - I was then requested to submit a declaration of service for 1399, filled up and handed over the next day after exams. 1 month after submission checked my immi account and the form was not even uploaded so I uploaded one. July 2019 - still waiting for a decision. My wife, however, took the exam on 17 July and was approved after 2 days. We applied separately and my son's application was attached to my application but the lady in Darwin office linked our applications after the exams. Last May 2019 we travelled to the Philippines so my wife followed up on the application and infirmed home affairs we are travelling, also they were about to reach the 1 year grace period from approval to the ceremony so our applications had to be unlinked. Wife and kid took oath on the 10th of July 2019. We are travelling again at the end of September. I am at my wit's end already but seeing your post and knowing some of you applied ahead of me sort of helped. I have also heard of someone lodging applications 2017 October and had exams 2018 August. NOthing until now. @Darley Dale Does it really help to contact the local MP? Thanks. I did phone the department but seems very useless as all they would say is it's still within the timeframe. The didn't even bother to get the details of my application.
