A blessed day, Paul. I lodged my state-sponsored (NT) 491 visa on June 3, 2020. I received a request for additional information on September 24, 2020. I am required to furnish the following: biometrics, United Kingdom Police Clearance. I was given 70 days to upload all docs. I have uploaded a letter to my immi account explaining my inability to provide those documents. I can't provide the former as VFS Global is still closed in Singapore since its temporary closure on April 7, 2020. The latter requirement is definitely a mistake as I have never been to the UK! I am just hoping that Australian Visa Application Centres will reopen before 2020 ends. My 70th day is on December 2nd. What do you think of the UK Police Check requirement? Will the CO read the letter I have uploaded or refuse my visa since I can't provide a document that is impossible to provide? Thanks so much.

Someone in another forum mentioned that it usually takes 4-5 months for offshore applicants. I lodged mine on December 9, 2019. My status was changed to 'CO Assessment' on 20th January 2020. I am prepared to wait until June to receive an ITA from the NT. 491 processing is from 38 - 41 days, so that, I believe, is good news:-)

A blessed day! Is there anyone here who has applied for 190 (Tasmania)? If there is, how long did it take for the state to invite you to apply for the visa after you have submitted the nomination? Tassie's website says processing of the nomination can take up to 3 months. I was just wondering if there was a chance ITA (invitation to apply) could be given within 1-2 months? Thank you very much in advance.

11 weeks. I submitted my docs last July 19th, but that was Friday and the time of submission was close to 6pm. They probably considered July 22nd as the date of receipt, so exactly 11 weeks:-) I only have 65 points (Age:25; English:20; Qual:15; State Sponsorship:5) for 190, and possibly 80 for 491. I am awaiting the result of my job application from DoE Tasmania. If I got offered the job, I would go for the 190.

AITSL asked me for a copy of my degree containing the original language last September 3. That was almost the same document that I had submitted on the 19th July. Still waiting for the result. I just have to remind myself that 'waiting time is not wasting time' hahaha.
